★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst car rental ever.
Booked the Fiat500L pickup in Milan. recieved a tiny Tipo. Oil lamp started lighting and after trying to reach breakdown service for 20h they picked up the car. Nobody reached out to provide extra car and - surprise- customer service DOES NOT PICK UP THE PHONE. Kept calling for 2 days from Firenze with ZERO result. The third time we went to the local office the guy agreed to give us a Panda.
When asked what they would do had we been in the middle of nowhere ha responded : not good happens all the time to our customers sorry.!
Happy to have wheels at all, we continue our journey and now have a flat tire. Waiting in the middle of nowhere for a truck
NEVER EVER try Leasys DONT DO IT

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Appalling customer service, archaic processes: avoid Leasys at any cost !
1/ We waited 1h in the queue (for 6 people...)
2/ Leasys refused all our debit/credit cards (VISA Premier, VISA Classic, American Express, you name it !) for the 600€ deposit: the car was already paid, but for some reason they refused the cards for the deposit.
3/ they didn't provide any other solution, like for instance charging the 600€ and then giving them back when we return the car (what more can you ask ?)
4/ the staff was rude and unhelpful: they just told us to go away and wait for "bank approval", without providing any information on the time needed. They refused to speak to us afterwards.
After 1h waiting in the queue, 30min of argument trying to find a way to process a simple transaction, and 30min waiting for a "transaction approval" (first time this ever happens...), we simply went to another company, Locauto, where we could pay and pick-up the car in 5min.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Review on Leasys is poor as a short term rental. Main reason is customer support. Arriving at the airport counter it took 25-30min to get the keys. I did all forms online with all my ID and driving license data, however we had to go through it again and on paper. It just took ages to do. Now trying to get in touch with them to extend the rental for one day and just can not get through to them. Have been waiting 25min on the main company number and they have terminated the call. On the airport tel they do not even respond. Overall very poor customer service. BTW the car is fine and clean.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was promised I will receive my receipt and invoice within 2 days from returning the car, however it's been more than a month and I didn't receive anything. Moreover, no one is responding to any phone or emails. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got really nervous reading all the reviews for all the Rome Airport Car rental. Tons of customers reported scams and issues. However as for my rental of a Fiat 500 all went according to plans with no major issues. I rented through the website discovercars.com and was happy with the service and the low price. I only regret not buying the extra insurance coverage on discovercars.com which would have given me extra peace of mind as there were no better/cheaper alternatives.
Pros:
- Car was in good condition and clean
- Overall process was rather smooth
- Price of the rental was very reasonable
Cons (reasons why not 5 stars) :
- A bit slow at the rental counter, their process seems quite manual so if you have 3 people ion front of you it may take some time
- They make you sign in advance at the counter the condition document of your car without clearly explaining what you are signing. This felt a bit scammy. Make sure when you pick up the car you take pictures+videos and highlight any issues with the car otherwise it will turn against you.
- The extra insurance coverage if you pay at the Leasys counter is extremely prohibitive!
- And as always all the legal footprints and things not covered give you always this sentiment that a lot of things could go wrong. And if things do go wrong for whatever reason, then you feel you're in for some trouble. This is an industry that's ought to change, and put their customers first.
Basically they thrive on your mistakes. And that can never be a 5 star service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hired a car for three weeks in February 2022 from Leasys Fiumicino. Having hired cars previously in UK, Malta, Romania and Italy Ciampino, I can say that the Leasys experience was ideal, the best one yet.
I doubt there could be anything better except maybe for candys and a bit more enthusiasm from the agent that gave us the car at 8pm on a Sunday. Easy to find desk in the airport, no aggressive attempt for extra sale, clean car waiting in the airport multistorey car park straight from the terminal. Fiat 500L, like new, 1.6 Diesel, decent drive with plenty of space inside for 5 people and luggage.
Return procedure was even easier, with a Leasys agent in the parking lot ready to inspect the car. 3 min in and already done. As I said, best experience I had so far.
