Got a car with half tank of diesel. Walked back and was told to deliver it back as half. Europcar could not resist charging me for 25 liter plus admin fee... I have their notes in my contract, pictures of kmlevel out and tankindicator. Could perhaps be incompetent staff at the desk, but since nobody in Italy nor in my country is able to help, its just to consider money lost. Was also a damage in car. Went back again, they noted on my paper and asked me to leave that paper in the car when returning. Luckily I didnt.. They WILL try to rip you off

Very bad service from the car hire Rep on the counter. First he was forcing us to take 4x4 not small car we had booked, well he wanted us to upgrade and pay the difference nearly Β£50a day extra. When I said I don't need a big car as we are just stayin in the city. Then he started finding faults in my booking and asking me to take insurance out for extras charging Β£250 for 3 days covering travel insurance, again I said I don't need one as I already have travel insurance cover. VERY VERY BAD SERVICE. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME AND LAST TIME BOOKING CAR WITH EUROPCAR. Be careful when you are booking the car with them, Chechnya out beforehand what you booking and what is covered or not. As we took extra insurances for damage cover when booked and same this the Rep said it not valid with them. So I had to another insurance with them over the counter and pay extra.

Absolute shambles of a company. Waited over 30 minutes to get a car that was pre-booked. Only one person on the desk and he was slow and rude. When I finally got served, they gave me a Golf when I'd pre-booked a Peugeot 3008 (or similar). I'm pretty sure they're not similar in size. I'd never use this company again.

If I could give no stars I would! I booked through Keddy their partner in crime. When you book a car for 8pm you expect to be told the office shuts at 8pm. The plane was delayed and we landed at 7:45pm. Due to the police coming on the plane and the rentals office being off site (again no information about that or how to get there!) we did not find the office until 8:30pm and found it closed! We hired a car for the night as all the other rental companies were still open! We went back to the airport in the morning to get our car, to be told our car was no longer available as we didn't collect it!! The office was shut until 8pm to 8am but apparently that does not matter. If you don't collect on time you loose the booking and they take your money anyway even though the car is still sat there!!! In my mind that is obtaining money by deception. I have just had to pay Β£150 for a car for three days. My initial booking was Β£57 for 4 days. Because I wasn't told that the office shut at 8pm apparently I should have checked and it is my fault that I paid for a car that I was no longer entitled to. Both the woman I spoke to on the evening of arrival at Keddy and the man at Europcar where very rude, condescending and did not give a damn that they have ruined my short break away. I will NEVER EVER use Keddy or Europcar again. I ask you to please back me and do the same.

Well I rent one Mercedes GLA in Europcar in Ciampino airport and when I arrive in the office for pick up the car, I find the man work in there very gentle and professional. The transaction was fast take me few minute. The car was great clean and new I really enjoy to use for few days. When I bring back the car I find one different man I was also very friendly and professional. I check the car no damage no issues. I'm really enjoy and I highly recommend this company. Fast, professional, friendly, great car and no issues. I can't wait for my next rent. Thank you Europcar.

Smiling guy at the desk told us that the car we had booked well in advance was "accidently" not available and that no replacement was available in any way. He did let us use his phone to discuss this with the booking agency. He sure was very polite but did absolutely nothing to help, he didn't even try, and the agency far away could do nothing to solve this. After two hours of arguing and no results, our holiday plans was completely ruined. Other rental companies in the same room had the same smug smile in their faces and did not want to help. Until the call was finally ended. But after that, a few cars were suddenly available at 2-3x prices. Another couple behind us had the same experience and started crying. Do you feel the smell? Always avoid this company! Warn your friends!

Near to the airport, accessible by shuttle bus. Good price, new and clean cars. Very nice staff, we were served by Emanuele, who was very friendly and helpful. He explained everything very carefully to us, no pressure to take any extras (but we did anyway just to be on the safe side, because in Rome you never know ?). Thank you Europcar, we had a lovely holiday!

Worst experience ever. They overcharged us. We call because we wanted to drop off the car 4h later. They said they would charge 28 eur and they charged 55. Never solved it in customer service. Rude people. It's a scam. Stay away
