β β β β β We have rented with Centauro before in other countries and we were always happy with their services.
At Catania Airport, we had a particularly pleasant experience with their representative, Maria. She was incredibly helpful and patient, when we arrived to pickup the car very late in the night. We had a problem with our credit card and she was extremely kind to wait for us even after closing time, until we managed to get it sorted out with our bank.
The rented car was new, clean and in perfect condition.
The drop off was fast and easy, without any delays.
The gas deposit was refunded in a few days.
We highly recommend! Overall 5 stars βοΈ

β β β β β I usually dread dealing with car rental companies but my experience with Centauro left me very satisfied.
The pick-up and drop-off were super quick and efficient, completely painless and without surprises. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They blocked the price of a full tank of gas on my credit card which was unblocked almost immediately upon returning the car.
They upgraded our car from the one we had reserved-- it was very clean, drove smoothly and had all the latest technologies. It made me feel completely safe driving in Sicily which can at times be chaotic.
I recommend choosing the Premium option--I reserved it through Centauro's website and it took a lot of weight off my chest knowing I was protected and didn't have a massive deposit on my credit card. Definitely worth the money for peace of mind.

β β β β β We rented a car directly through the Centauro website and everything went great. We had a car with full insurance coverage and we were very satisfied. The staff are very helpful and happy to advise. Registration was very fast and also the return of the car was very fast. We had a new car, beautiful and really clean. Very good experience, thank you. We will definitely use it next time.

I read a lot of reviews of other companies around Catania Airport, all pretty poor.. But Centauro came highly rated and I have to admit I was pretty skeptical.
But the service was great. The staff were pleasant, there was no hard sell for additional production (although I did and would suggest you opt for full coverage considering the narrow country roads and pot holes I needed to negotiate during my stay on Sicily). Also the car was modern and clean (Hyundai i30).
They did hold around 100 Euro on my card as a deposit for the fuel, but this was paid back to me when I returned the car with a full tank.
It was a transparent hassle free experience and this is all you want when hiring a car!

Definitely a recommended rental agency in my opinion! After reading reviews about car rental in general in Sicily/Catania I was very sceptical, but Centauro is a reliable agency. Pickup and drop of went smoothly (I paid both the costs and deposit with a regular credit card in my name). I actually got an upgrade car-wise, so that's nice, and I did not take any extra services such as insurance (they are not pushy on that). Tip: nevertheless, always take pics an such of the car when renting it - there was no use for it at Centauro - but just in general.
To conclude: Centauro has offers good service for a very reasonable price; value for money.

β β β β β I rent a care for 4 day and its was not bad the prices is good and the care not bad , but the lady whoβs gave me the key . was improper in receiving guests and tourists and not kind person!!
When u give the car back , was another lady and i was glad that not the same lady will deal with again .
The lady was when i give the car back so friendly and kind β¦ i donβt know her name but really thank you so much ?!!

β β β β β We were very satisfied with the service. We rented a car for a week with a premium package - smart cover included. It means that there is no deposit and full insurance with no excess. The whole process of returning and picking up the car was smooth and fast! Please be aware that there is still going to be a deposit for gas (104β¬) but if you return your car with a full tank you should receive your money back at your account within a few days.
Tips:
Donβt take some third parties insurance.
Check the tank of your car before you set off.
Recommend the smart cover insurance since driving in Sicily can be a bit challenging.
