Odbiór i zdanie samochodu sprawnie przeprowadzone. Podstawiony samochód wyższej klasy niż zamawiany, w dodatku z silnikiem diesla. Większość negatywnych opinii / nie tylko w tej wypożyczalni/ wynika z braku znajomości regulaminu przez klientów. Namawianie do zakupu pełnego ubezpieczenia wynika z chęci ograniczenia kłopotów w razie szkody zarówno dla klienta jak i wypożyczalni. A prawdopodobieństwo szkody jest dużo wyższe niż w innych miejscach Europy./Wąskie ulice, temperamentni sycylijscy kierowcy, inna interpretacja przepisów ruchu drogowego, obowiązkowo zasada ograniczonego zaufania/. Dobrze jest skorzystać z brokera wynajmując samochód.

Most of the negative opinions / not only in this rental company / result from the lack of knowledge of the regulations by customers. Encouraging the purchase of full insurance is based on the desire to limit problems in the event of damage to both the client and the rental company. And the probability of damage is much higher than in other places in Europe./ Narrow streets, temperamental Sicilian drivers, different interpretation of traffic rules, obligatory principle of limited trust /. It is good to use a broker when renting a car.

Vedo diverse recensioni negative e non capisco. Vi racconto la mia esperienza. Dopo aver prenotato con Ryanair, arrivati a Catania da Bari, la carta di credito non funziona per un mio problema. L'addetto si consulta il suo responsabile e individuano una soluzione in pochi minuti. Piccola sovrattassa per copertura assicurativa supplementare e ci viene consegnata un'auto pulita. Non so che altro dire: forse il problema è anche di come il cliente chiede o pretende di essere assisitito...
I see several negative reviews and don't understand. I'll tell you my experience. After booking with Ryanair, arriving in Catania from Bari, the credit card does not work due to my problem. The clerk consults his manager and they find a solution in a few minutes. Small surcharge for additional insurance coverage and a clean car is delivered to us. I don't know what else to say: maybe the problem is also how the client asks or expects to be assisted ...

Never ever. CAREFUL with these guys. It was a nightmare from the first moment. COVID - apparently they never heard about it. Chaos during car handover, more than 90 minutes waiting. The car - a desaster. WOW stands for wreck on wheels. Incredible. They tried to sell assurance and (!) car cleaning. Never had this during 30 years. They gave me a hybrid car without informing me - and try to find a methan station in Siciliy. Never ever again with this company. Now, more than 72 hours after drop off of the car, I still do not have an incoming confirmation. Super unrprofessional.

Booked the rental car online with CarTrawler and got a good deal including insurance and free milage. Paid online, so no more surprises. Nice service from CarTrawler, had all information at hand including the complete rental agreement. But at pick up EcoVia (AutoVia) confronted me to pay upfront additional €10 or pay €30 when returning the car not clean. Their policy is that returned cars should rented out instantly without them cleaning the cars. On their desk they have posted this as well. Of course I refused because this is not mentioned in the agreement. A discussion followed but I did not pay. The car I had was a good car, clean, recent model and few milage. So that was absolutely fine. When returning the car, the car was obviously dirty after using it for a week and due to the wether conditions on Sicily that week (rain with lots of sand on the roads). So same discussion started, that the car was dirty (only outside, inside was tidy and clean) but now I needed to pay €9! for cleaning cost. I realized this was scamming from EcoVia/AutoVia. So i did not pay and made that very clear to the guy. He backed off, saying: "it is OK for this time..." I have reported this behaviour of EcoVia/AutoVia to CarTrawler. They promised to investigate.

They wanted to charge me adicitonal 12€ for cleaning. When I said we will clean it ourselves before returning it, they said it will be a 25€ fine if it is not clean enough. Seriously? This is the way you want to talk to your clients? Nowhere in the offer is mentioned that cleaning is not included.

We have (via Booking.com) made a reservation. And that was not one day before pickup, but many months before … It is a small office combined with other rental car companies. After finding the personal of Autovia (smoking outside of the office), I received the message that the car was not available and I have to wait. Instead an Opel, I had an upgrade Seat Leon. After the walk-around with minor scratches on the car and completing all the final documentations / contracts. I was glad that I have booked it via Booking.com and with a full collision insurance and free of own risk (my advice to you). I am used to rent-a-car worldwide. The service of Autovia is good and … it is a bit of the Sicilian (Italian) way. You don’t have to be in a hurry. Nice price and quality !
