β β β β β Stay away from this car rental company. All they care about is earning money and they do not prioritise the customers experience with them or with the car.
My husband fully paid for the car over online booking. When we went to pick up the car, this company demanded that we produce a 2nd credit card in case for charges for demands. Be reminded that this cards cannot be the same one used for the online booking. As my husband did not bring another card, and they didnβt accept my credit card, thus we were unable to rent the car. How inflexible. Furthermore, they did not let us cancel our booking, only option given to us is to pay $49 eur for a bigger car and expected us to buy full insurance coverage. Surprisingly, the 2nd credit card problem did not appear here. Really felt like they wanted to cheat us of our money.
However, worst of all, the car that we paid extra for was faulty. In which it has a faulty tire sensor and beeped loudly every 5 mins that affected my husbandβs driving. When we complained, they said the car the tyres were fine, and sensor is just faulty. How dishonest can they be, knowing the car was faulty and still made us pay extra and allowing us to drive in unsafe conditions. This has left us with an extremely bad impression of b-rent. Obviously we will never rent a car from them again.

β β β β β Online booking is a decoy. This rental service works a very smart SCAM that entices you with a low price online that you book, then blames customers for not arriving on time and tells them the car is no longer available (although it was booked for the whole day) therefore you must upgrade to another model that is 3 times more expensive. No information is given when booking online that there is a transfer between the airport and car rental that an take up to 45min to come. Tardiness is blamed on the customer. Solving this and checking in at the counter also takes over an hour. Horrible!

β β β β β Today I returned a rental car here early by one day of a 28 day lease. On inspection a minute, less that 3cm scratch, not visible to the eye until some dust was caught in it was identified by the agent. For this I was charged β¬222, which is almost as much as I paid for the rental itself. Of course, they have their no tolerance policy in the small print, but there was zero sympathy that this might be a bit excessive given the tiny scratch which could have well been there already when I checked out. On check-out I was also slightly surprised when offered their insurance premium and telling them that I have a worldwide coverage policy with a third party that 'in Italy' the documentation of damages is often not recognized by such insurers. I like to give the benefit of the doubt so just thought they were being 'open', but was likely another attempt to secure more income from customers just landing and unfamiliar with the country they have arrived in. Anyway, long story short, over the past year I have been renting a number of cars from Florence Airport and the various vendors there and only B-Rent and Interrent have proven to be such bad experiences. They offer low up front costs, but will then sting you as soon and as much as possible if there is any slight deviation from their terms. I will not use them again and would not advise anyone else to either, particularly given there are so many other more reputable companies available there.

β β β β β I found the experience unpleasant. We had to wait over an hour at rΓ©ception and once we arrived they told us our car had been cancelled without advance notice.
They told us we had to return the tank full otherwise theyd deduct 90 euros but when we got in the car, we realised it was half empty in fuel.
When we got the car they acknowleged only a couple scratches but on return they looked for any minor mark to charge us extra.
This left a sour taste at the end of a wonderful trip and needless to say we wouldnt rent with them again.

β β β β β If there is an option with NO STARS, I would do it. But I had to put 1 star at least to write a review. They have a terrible customer service!! My reservation was under my name and My boyfriend was the driver. He said he cannot change it as it has to match and he might do it for me if I pay extra and buy full coverage insurance from his company, even though I already have insurance. He was so rude he said its my problem and not his problem that the website let me reserve the car under my name. All this after waiting 40 min for my turn. He did not even want to try to help, at the end he said I cannot give you the car go and cancel your reservation!! So, I went to HERTZ and got a much better car for lower rate and much better customer service.

He said it wasnβt enough and we should get their coverage too. So we cancelled our reservation. 3 days for β¬309 was a little much. After talking to
Our reservation company they said we definitely didnβt have to purchase the other insurance.

β β β β β To echo numerous other reviewers, this company tries to bully you into additional insurance expense when you go to pick up the car. This takes time and is very frustrating and stressful. I flatly refused and was finally allowed to take the car I had already paid for in full. However, I still had to leave a very sizable deposit, I believe it was about $700 dollars on my credit card. This was back in September 2019. No incidents while in Italy, no problem dropping car off and no additional charges on my card, until today, 08 Jan '20. A recurring charge for $55.99 was charged to the card I used to leave the deposit. I have notified my credit card company that this is a fraudulent, unauthorized charge. Avoid this company like the plague.

β β β β β B Rent didn't allow me to rent the booked car without signing up for an additional coverage. The clerk later said, the credit card would not work, although my bank confirmed the authorization. So I had to pick another company.
I truly recommend to avoid B-RENT!
