C	Christina Baker on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not honest! We returned our car on a Saturday, noticed that we left 2 felt hats on the head rests in the back seat. Tried calling numerous times, impossible to get through. Monday before our flight I went to the office before opening. Senora Martini was nice enough to take me to the car, it had not been rented out. No hats. The cleaners were there and made a pathetic effort to look for the hats, nothing. When I arrived home I e mailed Senora Martini, nor response after 3 attempts. We know we left the hats in the car, very frustrated that they were not returned to us.

I’m noticing terrible reviews for budget in Italy in general and today we are dropping back to Rome and I’m seeing awful reviews there. We got the manual small car we wanted from the Florence location, staff were very nice and there was a short wait time. Nothing out of the ordinary to report. I guess it just depends on the time of day and the situation.
B	Bill Z on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Warning!!! Do not rent from here. I rented a car for 230 euros from this place and was charged 341 euros for damages after I return. I took pictures of the damage prior to leaving the lot, all with the date and time, plus I had the attendant sign the damage form. I also took pictures showing that it was exactly the same when I returned it. The car wasn't damaged at all while I had it and was stored a parking garage far away from any other cars nearly the entire time. Unfortunately, I had to return it early before the rental place opened and that's how they stuck it to me. I submitted everything to Budget/Avis corporate for them to investigate, but guess who gets the say in whether to issue a refund. The crooks at the Budget office in Florence that stole the money in the first place!!! They are still refusing to refund my money. This place is a complete scam. Budget and Avis shouldn't let them work under their license anymore. They're a bunch of crooks!
A	Amy Dolman on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dropped car off here, had no more than a ten minute wait to be seen. The man checked the car over, confirmed the fuel tank was full, and confirmed the amount that would be charged to the credit card. We signed it and left to get the shuttle bus to airport which came 5 mins later. Smoother process than we expected! No restroom but there was a small snack truck settling a wide variety of food/drinks. The actual Avis/Budget office was just a small shipping container styled office. Service was efficient for the number of people returning/collecting vehicles. Much faster dropping off than our collection from the city office which took 2.5 hours.
S	Sophie Lister on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Would give -10 stars if it was possible. Do not go there under any circumstances, the workers there aren't good and they know nothing about driving licences. Rented a car there in june, but due to the fact that the very incompetent and stupid cashier could not read a normal european driving licence, i did not received the car. The required category of driving licence was 2 years old when I rented the car. But I had another category of driving licence which was issued in 2020 and even though the year of the required category was written on the back of the driving licence, like on every normal eu driving license, the cashier refused to give us the car. We had to fight for 4 months to get our money back, just because the cashier doesnt know how to read a regular driving licence.

She even took the time to call and ensure that the drop-off would be open for us over the weekend as we headed to Pisa. Serena was a pleasure to deal with and I highly recommend Budget.

Please see the photos attached - it is to protect myself regarding extensive damages on this vehicle that were not checked before leaving the lot. I have a video of a complete walk around which is too large to post and I need wifi to upload to a cloud drive but it was taken stating the date while still in the lot. It is crazy that your employees do not check the car. They said "two issues" - there are many many issues. We do not want to get charged for this nonsense on return. This was posted the day of my booking. I will remove this review upon the return of my keys and ensuring I'm not charged for damages.
