When I tried to pick up the car I had booked and payed for online on B-Rent website the representative at the counter told me my credit card was not valid to use as a deposit. My credit card is a Visa Credit Card, not a debit card, that I have used several times with rent a car companies (including two times with B-Rent in Termini). They did not explain what the issue was or offer any solution other than cancel the reservation and contact B-Rent later to get a refund. This is terrible customer service. I had to book a car with another company (where my credit card worked without any problem). Contacted them by email, they refunded me the amount payed, no explanation on what happened. Neither at the counter or by email they apologized for the situation.

They can't handle all the bookings. We stayed two hours in line to make the rental agreement. The clerk at the desk barely spoke English and without asking for our permission he sold us an additional useless insurance. After a heated discussion he returned the money and the deposit on our credit card. The only positive aspect was at the check-out in the parking where we were greeted by an employee Marco D. who explained everything with patience and kindness helping us with the navigator and solving our problem.

If I could give them a 0 i would. I booked a car and got with it the full insurance coverage so that they don’t charge me extra. I got to the counter to get my car. They said that the insurace I paid for was not valid (although I got it on their site) and after arguing with them for some time they just made me upset and I ended up paying again around 500€ extra. This did not end here. 6 months after I returned the car they charged my credit card 80$ without any reason and no notification. I found this out after my credit card was collecting interest and fees. I emailed them to ask about it and they replied saying these are extra fees. If you don’t want to be scammed stay away from this company.

Rating is not actually one star, it’s the lowest of the low. These guys completely scammed us. They told us the credit card was not valid, but it is. It was even the same one we paid the booking with, but apparently not OK to pay for our security deposit. Silvia or Sylvia was so extremely rude. She refused to let us speak. Refused to call a manager. Refused to help us. Refused to refund our money. The most awful company. There’s no way they are legit. We had to go to another hire company and pay for another car. Also, we were not the only ones she said this to today...there were several others being messed around. No other company has issues with our credit cards. She wouldn’t even give us her surname to follow this up. Please can someone tell me who to email to lodge a complaint and get our money back? This company and this lady are a disgrace to Italy, which has been wonderful up until this morning! 22 April - I sent you an email, so please respond ASAP.

I rented a car in May for two days and they charged me for three. Still ongoing to get my refund. I don’t like the idea they keep the deposit for up to fifteen days. The staff are nice and friendly but their administration needs improvement. Good value for money but I won’t use them again.

Worst car rental agency ever. Fraudulent charges after return, police and credit card agency have to get involved. Would not trust them for anything. Not worth the detour. Highly recommended to stay away.

I was surprised with their excellent service - taking into account their prices are 2-2.5 times lower than those of bigger rentals (Sixt, Hertz etc). The counter staff was very nice and welcoming, no hard pushing of expensive extras (if you see the rental company doing that - better avoid, that's a red flag). The pick up and return process was very easy and hassle-free. It took about 30 minutes to take the car and about 10 minutes to return it. 5/5, strongly recommend this rental to those looking for a reasonably priced car in Rome.

I do not recommend B-rent in Rome! Used the services of the company B-rent in may 2019. The office is located right at the train station, which I was very pleased with, but after the registration of the contract, it is necessary to go very long to pick up the car in the dirty gateways! It was terrible, the whole family went with suitcases for 30 minutes! When we arrived, instead of the booked Citroen car, we were given an old and dirty Opel! On my question about Citroen, we just laughed! And that's not all! After six months, B-rent charges 100 euros from my card! It turned out that this is a fee for transmitting our data to the police to pay a fine (50 euros for 1 fine). Can you imagine that? 50 euros!!! Fines in Rome are very easy to get, so do not think that this will not affect you! Look for another company and don't contact B-rent!
