The worst possible service We arrived one hour after our reserved time and already our reservation was atteined. We had trouble with our credit card and absolutely no cooperation was presented from the place. Eventually we didn't take the car and went to the airport to rent a car

Absolutely Terrible service, waited at 3.5 hours for our car which we had reservation. Terrible queuing system. Terrible service. Avoid at all costs, it will ruin our holiday

Sooooo bad costumer service, I have been waiting over 2hs it’s just one person working on the desk and he doesn’t even know what is he doing, all the other car rentals were way faster!! Don’t chose budget or avis

Is the worst Avis/budget office, with the most incompetent shady employees ever... they always tries to rip you off with something if you are not careful or take advantage of you if you are in a hurry, specially the guy wearing glasses. Also is in the middle of the hall, no place to sit and thousands travelers passing by every second.

Please save yourself from these thieves and scammers! Please listen to reviews! Manager Andrea never ever responds the same as other staff. They dont even pick up the phone to explain outrageous charges on your credit card! Please dont give them your credit card

Would never use Budget or Avis again!!!!! Reviews here are true! I thought I would get lucky despite all bad reviews. But got basically the same experience what people write here about. I called several times in advance asking about every possible detail ensuring I can easily get a car and drive right away (as was there with my parents and I knew that my Dad has issues with walking, so couldn’t afford to go and travel by other transport) For Credit card the requirement was that “ it had to be issued in the name of a driver” (that s what is says in voucher) , but my Bank (Universal Bank) has credit cards that have no name on it… knowing this I got an additional paper from the bank that confirms the owner of the card (official paper with stamps etc). When I gave all required docs guy called Andrea (working on 14.09), just looked though them and after just collected and gave them back saying that I am not getting a car, as he couldnt see the name on it.. he rejected to even check any other documents issued by my bank … when I suggested him to take credit car of my Mother that was traveling with me and whose card had the name on it, he said he will take it only if she becomes a main driver which she wasnt comfortable with (given the traffic in Rome and the way people drive). On question if there are any other options to get a car giving we had 2 valid credit cards, but he was just not willing to Take them .. I believe Budget knows that if no rental is happening on the day, customers are still charged in full, meaning they make money but can still try to rent the same car to someone else. At least that how it looked when Andrea crossed my name 1 sec after he gave me docs back. Called broker and they offered to file claim, but it could be done only after the last day of planned rental. Interesting that the table of a diff company Sicily by Car could use a card provided by a family member (Mom) that was also a passenger without any issues. Everything worked absolutely smooth with Sicily by Car (So far as I am still traveling) … so my issue is that Budget basically stole money without giving any service. While I was in the Hall I saw couple other people not getting cars so this seems to be a trend based on reviews here and what I saw on the spot (couldnt hear exact reasons for those people near me) Its a Big trap when Avis and Budget show them as a good priced renting company, but ultimately amount of people that are scammed pay for the difference in prices.

Me and my friend rent a car for three days . The people there gave us the best price and the more convenient . I recommend you to deal with them and I guarantee you will be happy and satisfied .

Terrible experience!! I should have read reviews on here but I booked with Expedia. We only needed the car for 1 day. Price was great, car options good, and friendly staff. I thought all was great we had nothing to worry about. We’ve rented cars all over the world and have never not once had an issue until renting with this budget/Avis. We brought the car back the same day, 10 hours later. Parked it and dropped the keys in the drop box. Easy enough. A few days go by and I check my credit card statement and I see that we are charged hundreds more. I never got an invoice so I call this local office we rented from and had them email it to me. Once I got it I read over it and saw we were changed for damage on a white vehicle we didn’t even have a white vehicle so I call back and they can’t help me they said someone from the accident department will call me. It’s been a month and nothing not even an email. I should have taken photos now I have no proof we didn’t have a white car and we didn’t damage the car we had, this is now a lesson learned for us. Hoping my review helps others stay away. This rental car office are scammers. It’s not much they keep it low to get away with it.
