β β β β β Italy Car Rent is a scam. I made and paid for a reservation more than 5 months in advance. A week later, the airline canceled the trip and I contacted Italy Car Rent to get my money back, given what had just happened. They do not refund the money even if there are more than 5 months left for the rental. There are many rent a cars in Italy. Do not choose this crook company.

β β β β β Worst car rental company I've come across for years traveling in Europe. The rented car is different from the actual car. When returning the car, no one accompanied the car to inspect the car and promised to say that the car was not damaged. However, after returning home from the trip, I received a notice that the car was damaged 1700 euros. What's even more outrageous is that 60 Euros of illegal fees are charged after one month of travel. I thought the violations were dealt with. As a result, a year later, I received a notice from the Italian traffic department asking me to pay the fine. The rental car company argued that the 60 they charged last year was a ticket management fee! Please don't be greedy for petty cheap, they just attract tourists with low prices, and then give unreasonable fines after leaving!

β β β β β Good experience, no issues.
The line was a bit long, so I had to wait around 30min, the car that they gave me had 5/8 of fuel, which is annoying to return with the same amount. I end up returning it with a bit extra fuel 6/8.
I also opt for full insurance coverage which help keep piece in my mind. So I donβt have to worry about any incident.
I would definitely rent from them again

β β β β β This is not a good car rental. They just want your money, they try to cheat in every way. You rent something, but you get somethingelse instead. We wanted a SUV and got a way tinier car than we expected. Our luggage nearly fitted in and they told us that we could change the car, but it would take hours. Honestly itβs not trustworthy. When we wanted to give our car back we had a little discussion. The car was not fuelled up as showed in the documentation. It was rather 80% and they said that we should give it back as we got it. We gave it back with the 80% filled tank. The lady from the car rental got angry and freaked out because the car was not full. She just went away and said that she will get the money from the caution. In this way the people from the Italy car rent did a horrible job. I would not recommend them. This is a disrespectful treatment for the customers and it feels like systematic scamming. (Catania, Sicily)

β β β β β DO NOT RENT A CAR with them! very bad company. We were asked for around 2000 euros for car damage. But when we returned the car, the inspector didβt say there was any damage. And we still get fine after one yearβ¦

β β β β β I would give it one star, but the car did get us around Bari. I am not sure if all of the cars are the same, but the one provided to us was several years old and had 80,000 kilometers on it. The worst part is that you are almost forced to purchase the insurance (at 25β¬ per day) because as others have said, the real money maker for this company appear to be charging people for the most minor damage. This becomes particularly difficult if you have to note when you start the rental all of the damage on old cars with a lot of wear and tear. So imagine having to note every, single, little scratch nick or tick on a 10 year old car--impossible, forget about it! So it is probably best to spend a little more and rent with a more reputable car rental company in Italy. The check-in person was nice though, so that gets them the extra star. PS in Bari they are about a 15 minute (maybe more) walk from the terminal-- they are the furthest away from the terminal--coincidence, I think NOT!

β β β β β Despite all these bad reviews we rented a car here and we are satisfied with their service at the end. New Toyoto hybrid, kind staff and good price (compared to big companies)
To avoid bad experience:
1. You should rent from their website directly not from partner sites.
2. Buy full coverage insurance, Super kasco (so you wonβt have any issue with them)

β β β β β The worst rental company, where we rented a car from among 30 countries. They gave us a broken car that went out and didn't work. They refused to admit our mistake and took us 150 euros for a service that did not work. During the conversation, they were rude, and then when we asked for a written statement about the situation, the Manager left. We have never been treated so badly anywhere in the world, we are very sorry because we have asked for help many times and we have not received it. At the end, the manager turned his back on us, which was an expression of disrespect. I do not recommend such an experience to anyone. :((((
