★ ★ ★ ★ ★ very kind and helpful staff, pick-up and return of car was quick and hassle free. the car had quite a few dents and scratches, but all of those were listed in the rental documents. the car was otherwise good and had the perfect size for the narrow roads of Sicilian towns and villages.
i will use Europcar again in the future

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Even though I have both an Italian and US license, the agent refused me because I did not have an “international drivers license”. Again, I HAVE A LEGAL ITALIAN LICENSE and I was refused. Having agents who do not know the regulations and laws of their own country is astounding. I’ve rented from Europcar over ten times and have never experienced this. You can bet this is the last time I will ever rent with this company.

damaged the car. THis is absolutely not true. We picked up the car, saw some damage, went to the Europcar point where an old man sat. He looked at it and pointed to a sign saying "small damages wont be on your statement". He said not to worry about it. To be
sure i made pictures before leaving.
We contacted our bank to link
this as fraudulous invoice but they asked to contact Europcar first

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Reasonable service. Collection was fine, no issues and quick. However, the car was parked overnight and someone had lightly scratched the front bumper, which could barely be seen. They charged me approx £400 for it! Horrendous for such small thing. I understand there should be a cost which I should pay, but this company need to revise their charge structure for such things. I chose Europcar for their brand, but would completely avoid as it's better to go with a local cheaper company with the same risks. Also, at the time of returning the car they did not indicate that I would be charged circa £400 but they would let me know, else I would not have signed the return forms. Very sly

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awful service, very long wait and the personnel at the office have poor manners, treating customers badly. We were charged with extra 300 euros due to a "slight scratch" according to them, plus 75 euros on administrative fees with no previous notice.

so we had to cancel our reservation and got a car at Sixt Car Rental without a problem. at least we got the already paid money back quickly
