Everytime I come back to Matera, I can't miss my favourite glass of wine while having my "cialledda", typical salad with local bread from Matera. Also open for lunch, the place is located in the central and vibrant Fiorentini street, the heart of the old town of Matera, the famous Sassi. Vicolo Cieco has also amazing interiors, friendly staff and a special atmosphere you can only find here in the whole city. It really worth a try!

Nice place right before getting into Matera. Starting the stone adventure
They were fully packed with people
Very busy but nice service
And need to mention it that they have WC. In case you need ~ just to let you know ahead.

We just had an aperitivo (primitivo and house wine: vicolo cieco aglianico which was great) and some salumi e formaggi.
