★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lovely dinner. Located just off of the Piazza Duomo. Fantastic food and service. The owner, Pietro, and his staff took great care of us. We enjoyed the starters (the cauliflower soup was divine), mains and desserts. You won’t be disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The humility and surprise factor of this A+ dining experience is that none of our research into restaurants in Matera pulled up this place and we were lucky enough to stumble upon it one rainy night and proceeded to enjoy one of the top 5 meals of my adult life. I will say that, while the interior is gorgeous, the atmosphere wasn't too memorable, but that maybe it's better on nights when it's not just me, my girlfriend, and literally just one other couple. But you're here for the food, and it screams of confidence and daring in the kitchen, and the results are delectable, probably the best bread and amouse bouche of our entire 3 week trip. We'll be back, but with a little more familiarity with the place than the first time ;)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great ambience, delicious food, attentive service (fluent English) and unique local wines in one of the most awesome city of Matera! Signature Matera bread and local olive oil were the best pre-meal deal ever and I am still drooling. I can’t wait to revisit Matera (and this restaurant) once again after the pandemic. Hope this restaurant survive this difficult time!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Luckily this place was close to our accommodation so we stumbled across the restaurant liked the look and feel of the menu and booked lunch for the next day. We had a little dog with us, that they were very happy to accommodate. The service, food and choice of wines was wonderful. We had an unrushed, experience of the local food and wine, carefully and brilliantly presented. The server explained in both Italian and perfect English the significance of each dish. I don't like to give individual dish recommendations however can recommend the mackerel starter and both the pork and beef mains. (My wife and I swapped half way)
