Huge queue depending to leave our bags, not so much when we came back to retrieve them, still, you end up coming back much earlier than you would in case it is busy at that moment.
I've travelled extensively around Europe and the typical solution to this problem is lockers. You put whatever stuff you have in one, pay for it, no need to queue, no need to deal with not-so-nice staff.
And again, 6€ per item!
