β β β β β I didn't eat at the restaurant, but the staff (and I think the owner) were super friendly and helpful getting me a taxi when I had a parking issue with the family rental car. For such service to a non-customer, they deserve five stars.

β β β β β This place is a tourist trap. Donβt go. Overpriced dishes. Extra fees for tourists (3 eu). And if youβre ok with that, then youβre ok with getting ripped off. βTourist chargeβ is no longer the standard in this country. Seriously, there are a few positive reviews which is why we went. Donβt pay attention to them. Food isnβt anything special either.

β β β β β Nothing special, don't recommend it. I had a baccala a la grilia : it was cod fish with a crust, no sauce, rather bland. Ordered a side of white beans: simple boiled beans for 4β¬; again no salsa, no herbs, I only added some olive oil myself. Same for a 4β¬ side of tomato: a few tomato slices. Overall a rather dull meal. I should have perhaps chosen some local tortellini.
Tiramisu was also forgettable: not enough syrup and mascarpone.

β β β β β I went there for two times during my days in Lucca. They made delicious traditional Lucca dishes. The tortelli and the other pasta are both excellent! Homemade desserts are also surprising,especially the tiramisu is worth tasting!
The waiters and the owner are nice guys providing warm smiles and services~
I will be sure to have meals there again if i travel to Lucca in the future.
