What an incredible family owned restaurant - where the locals eat. We love when they state on their menu β€œNo Pizza and No Hamburgers”!! The food is incredible from their vegetable soup, to their pastas and grilled beef. Everything is made there. Prices are very reasonable. We will return and highly recommend it. The owners are very friendly.

Great food quality. The staff is a little rough for a tourist and they are very nice to the locals. The prices are very fair. Plan on spending 40-50 euros for a good meal for two with 2 glasses of house wine. It is worth it. Every dish looks fantastic. I ordered the tortellini with Ragu meat sauce. Very good. Looks like small dish when it arrived but very filling. We saw a local order a β€œspecial” appetizer. Owner host seemed hesitant to allow us to order the same dish. We pushed a little and got it. It was fantastic. One of the best restaurants in Lucca for sure. And among one of my top meals in all of Italy.

Food was okay, pasta a bit too soft actually but some people may like it this way. Service was just okay, family run restaurants somehow rarely have exceptional service.

We had lunch here. It was ok. The starter was fine: we had a raw sausage, anchovies and cheese on a platter. The raw sausage was really good and it's an original idea to serve raw sausage. Unfortunately the pasta that came afterwards was, as is often the case, a little too salty. Moreover the ravioli I had tasted too much like raw dough. Otherwise the place has a friendly service, even though they are a bit eager to impose rules.

Good food and friendly service. We had the "tortelli lucchese" which is supposed to be a specialty for Lucca. The food was good but for a hungry person like me, it could have been bigger. We also got served bread with the food, it was however to dry to eat, which was a disappointment. We payed 10 euros for the dish and 1 euro for a cup of coffee.

Rude staff! Entrance is closed by a red line. Portions r too small. Owner wanted to charge for virgin oil!! When i said β€œcharge for oil”, man became very defensive. I would not recommend.

Great food and atmosphere. Definitely more authentic experience and we loved it. No pizza, no hamburgers, and no salad - just great Italian food!
