SCAM - €150 for the New Year’s brunch with food poisoning included. We had some of the sashimi amongst other mediocre dishes like watery caccio e Pepe and dry filet — and then spent a very painful afternoon sitting on the toilet and needing electrolytes after. We went back to give feedback the restaurant was not apologetic at all but had a well-rehearsed script blaming the weather for us getting sick. Looking at other Google reviews, it’s clear that this is a recurring issue that they try to sweep under the rug, instead of fixing their supply chain and hand washing protocols. We should’ve known their standards were subpar as they were the only restaurant in Venice that didn’t ask for our Green Passes. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere.

Great luxury hotel. Impeccable service. Easy walk to St.Marks square, St. Mark's basilica, and Dodge Palace. Breakfast at the hotel on the grand canal was the perfect, peaceful start to each day!

Those American tourist will ruin your good time. This place is full of American tourist who will turn up in their jeans and shorts even though there is a defined dress code. Careful with your cocktails we found a hair in ours and had to send it back !!! Food is average and highly overpriced you are paying for the sittings and views. You will be far better off dining at those small restaurants where the local dine just do your research.

Disclaimer: I haven’t stayed at Hotel Danieli or the St Regis or the Aman in Venice, so I can’t compare the Gritti to these alternatives. However I thoroughly enjoyed the Gritti. If you have the chance to stay here I would highly recommend. Nothing seemed like too much trouble for the staff. First, we got a nice upgrade due to our Marriott Titanium status which was a really nice gesture. Then, when we couldn’t find a COVID test appointment on site (yes they offer this next to the spa inside the hotel), the staff went out of their way to make sure we got tested without waiting for too long. When we wanted to get drinks on the terrace but the terrace had been closed due to rain earlier in the day, one of the managers literally asked the staff to open up the terrace for us and they brought out dry seat cushions for us to enjoy the view. Breakfast was wonderful with both a buffet and made-to-order menu. If you get asked whether you want to get more Marriott points or free breakfast, I would suggest go with the breakfast here. The room was of course beautiful and I appreciated the Acqua Di Parma amenities. The bottle of wine as a welcome gift was also a nice touch. It’s worth noting that the room doesn’t come with a coffee machine or a water kettle, so you’ll have to order coffee or tea if you want it.

A beautiful, luxurious experience for our time in Venice. Hotel room is full of small luxuries that make all the difference and the staff is kind. The entire building is picturesque. If you have the chance to stay here, I highly recommend or at least dine in at the restaurant. Alessandro and his team are very attentive and the food is delicious.

Room was amazing. Lucky to get a major upgrade. Nice breakfast and bar. 35-45 minutes to the train station via general water taxi. Great walking location, right on the Grand canel , historic hotel recently renovated. Very good service. Could not ask for more.

I came here for dinner and it was as amazing as I was told it would be. The service is world class. Set in a beautiful palace. And a menu to match. We had a full meal. Scallops as a starter a main and dessert. They did also give us a amuse bouche and an extra free dessert. The entire meal was about $350, but a good chunk of that was drinks. So if you have some money burning a hole in your pocket and you want to eat like a Venetian Doge then make your self a reservation and spoil yourself
