This company is making as fools. They have charged me 120 EUROS for the fees that I did not commit. In the agreement says that if I pay for them they are not to take the money. But they did not even ask if I will pay or not just charged my card. Horrible company avoid them. I am filing a law suit with my lawyer. If you have similar problems we can make a bigger case. There is a problem in the agreement, so we can build a big case. Let me know.

We experienced an extremely rude employee and dirty car. I asked the employee at the counter if I can read the contract before signing since he hit the sign button for me on the customer tablet PC which then made the contract disappear. He did not allow me to see the contract, forcefully telling me that this is exactly what I agreed to when making the reservation. He accused me of “being difficult” a coworker had to step in and cancel the transaction in order for me to review the contract before signing. He then handed me an extremely direct car. Especially during a pandemic it’s unacceptable to hand over a car that has not been cleaned.

UPDATED: Ive downgraded this from 5 stars to 2. I have been charged a random amount (35% more) which has no bearing on the amount that I was quoted on the Sicily By Car rental agreement. SBC are also giving me radio silence on my requests for clarity and as a result I'm going to have to take this up with me credit card company. Ive managed to get their final invoice from their website and my original agreed (on their rental agreement) amount is no-where to be seen, its just random charges to do with milage which was listed on the RA as unlimited. See review below for the pickup/dropoff and car which were great, the company itself though, dishonest. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Having booked through VIP cars, I wanted to check where they were located as we were coming from Napoli central rather than the airport. Reading the reviews on here I was extremely apprehensive, and checked out changing to a bigger company. However, we had a really great experience. There was no queue and the lady at the desk was friendly, did not aggressively push any extra insurance options once I had declined them, and even cracked a few jokes. The car was as described (500c), and ready to go even though we arrived an hour early. Had to point out a few extra dinks/scratches but that’s to be expected and I wanted to cover myself. We had a great trip, and delivered it back a few minutes late with no problems. The same lady checked the car, and we signed the document saying now extra damage etc and we’re on our way with 10 mins. Hopefully there’s no problem refunding my deposit which I imagine will take a few days but yeah, cheap and can’t fault it.

Good enough experience in total. The rental should go easy as long as you will be able to provide them a CREDIT card the moment you want to take the car. The driver MUST be the same as card holder. If not you will have add an additional driver to your car (they will charge you 10 EUR per day) or you will have to buy an additional insurance (for using a debit card). Upon arrival expect to stand in the waiting line. I reserved the car online and still it took me at least 45 min to start the rental. I also had a parking scratch, but the “gold” insurance saved me from paying anything for the damage.

I really like SicilyByCar - easy order, clear conditions, nice staff, new cars and reasonable price. I recommend this rental company! Important: remember to take the CREDIT CARD - no DEBIT!

Nice staff. We rented a diesel Opel Moka. The car was in a quite good technical condition and the interior was almost clean.

We had a very good experience with Sicily by Car at the Naples Airport! We rented a car in March, got the car we wanted (a Fiat500, perfect for the narrow Amalfi Coast roads) and the staff was really nice, everything was uncomplicated. Plus due to the off season we got a really good price! Everything was perfect with the car, it even seemed pretty new. We dropped the car off 10 minutes late, this was no issue, we got a mail that everything was fine with the car (no new damages). Lets see if everything works out with the deposit, but I am pretty confident. So only good things to say from us! :) We would rent here again.

HUGE HUGE CON. DO NOT GET A CAR FROM THESE CROOKS. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour from the return desk in naples. I've been changed £100 because there was a bit of sand on the carpet. Was given the car with no matts so how can anyone not get a little mud/sand where you put your feet. Was told it needed a special clean to get it out. We had the car 3 days in total. I worked for 3 years as a car valet and it would have taken them 2 seconds to hoover it up. They are supposed to clean and sanitise the car before anyone else uses it anyway. Huge huge con to get more money from you at the end.
