If you have a credit card and take care of the car and give it back on time, everything is fine and easy with this agency. Trustable and serious by my experience.

I rarely provide a negative rating but was really underwhelmed with this service. I rent cars in the US all the time and the rules are evidently different in Italy. We picked the car up after our reservation time due to a huge line that we waited in. Then when we returned it a few minutes after our scheduled return time, they charged us a full additional day including all optional insurance coverages. Maybe thats normal but it felt scam-like to someone used to renting from enterprise in the US.

The customer is never right!! Got a car. After few km it has a malfunction . I waited 3 hours for a replacement car. On the return, I brought the car one hour before the rental time but they considered only the original time. They withdrew my credit card with an additional day. Robbery!!

It took a bit to get the car because there was a lot of people, but the guy explained well. We were supposed to get a Renault Clio but there was none left, so they upgraded us to a Lexus NX no added cost. The trip went well although the Italians are crazy drivers, this is not for the faint of heart. Returning the vehicle went smoothly, a lovely lady checked the car with a tablet, since there was no damage in the vehicle the process was quick and trouble free. To return the car they only open at 8am so be careful. I also advice you to get the body protection package it costs an extra 251€ (29€/day) but you get the peace of mind when driving in the narrow Italian roads.

Worst experience ever. They charged $1000 for a car wash an 2k extra for a small small stretch which was already there. In the end this rental costed me $3500 more. Also, the pre-pay tank is a scam. Run away don't rent this company or you will lose a lot of money. Also, the kady at front desk is very mean and unprofessional.

I should have read the reviews before. They are "licensed" scammers. They stole 40 euros from my card just to notice via email that I ve got a fine. The car was missing less than 5 Liters of petrol and they charged 50 euro for the "service" and 15 euros for the petrol.

Locauto charged €43 euros for a 7 minute delay. Reading other reviews, this company seem very happy to charge large sums for small or silly things. Our flight was delayed by an hour meaning we arrived seven minutes after 23:00. Lacauto said we had to pay a €43 'out of hours fee' or not take the car. We felt the fee was silly and really soured the rental from the start. Staff absolutely refused to waive the charge and said it also wasn't their fault. We felt this was poor customer service considering the delay was so small and these things happen at airports. Otherwise, the rental went fine. I do think someone at Locauto should read these bad comments and check if their extra charges are worth the poor reputation and non-returning customers.
