BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! We don't have Sephora here in England, the staff were so friendly. They had everything I was looking for!

I usually do not write reviews, though I view them all the time and actually utilize them to make decisions about how I spend money. In this instance I must write a review and state that my recent experience at the Sephora at the Spanish Steps in Rome was not good. I was racially profiled by a male employee in the store. Despite spending almost $75.00 in the store this man followed and watched me the entire time in the store and I know for sure it is because I have pigmented skin. The only reason I spent money there was to be the person taking the higher road and because I really needed that Opi nail polish. But I promise you I will never ever spend another dime in any Sephora store again because of how that man disapprovingly looked at me and followed me around. I was there at least 25 minutes. Even after getting a basket, asking a female attendant for help and putting items in my basket for purchase, this guy continued to follow me and I am sure in my heart that he was being deliberate about making me feel uncomfortable. I warn you if you have pigmented skin, do not shop here. They are disrespectful of you and do not value the money you spend.

The cashier was really rude. He assumed I couldn’t understand him because he was speaking in Italian. Never assume that because of the way someone looks they can’t understand you. I decided to take the high road and just finish buying what I needed. Beware the guy with the nasal laugh.

Extremely disappointing expierence in this store. We booked some products online where we were told that the products can be picked up in this store 2 hours after the booking confirmation. One day after, we went to this store one day after. We showed our booking confirmation to the store manager (il direttore del negozio) named Luca, he asked us to show the ID. We told him we have the copy in smartphone, and he told us without the original ID, he could not give us the products and repete to us in an unacceptable attitude several times that you have to read well the paper (dovete leggere bene). Ok, I thought this was my fault. Then we went back to take the ID, one hour after, we came back with the ID. After 15 minutes of searching, he told me that there was no record on his computer and the only thing we could do is to talk with the sephora call centre the day after (it was 9:30 that the call centre was out of service). When we showed our dissatisfaction since we were here twice with a response of I am sorry (mi dispiace)??? We were angry and started to argue and try to find a solution but he was being angry. In the end we asked to buy directly in the store to other staff, and they helped me. The attitude of this manager was unacceptable and he never thought to find solution for clients. Even he threated to push me out of the store. And, it was not the first time I didn't feel good in this store. Suggest you not buy things there.

I really want to thank staffs here. I accidentally broke a foundation container and gone panic, but they helped me very nicely. And one of the staff found out I got a little scratch on my arm(even I didn't know), then literally 3~4 staffs came to help me! I'm so moved by their kindness? They changed my horrible accident to a really warm experience. Thank you so much you guys are the best??

The manager Floriana wasn’t able to help me with what I needed. She didn’t give me any sign of trying to solve my problem. They couldn’t exchange a powder that I bought one day ago which was closed, I haven’t opened. She also was kind of rude because she doesn’t speak English and was asking help for the staff. Iβ€˜Ve always bought in Sephora in many countries and I’ve never been treated like that before. Very disappointed Sephora!
