★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Porta del Borgo e la Torre Capitolare sono collegate alla cinta muraria che sale al castello dei Doria, la medievale porta reca l'iscrizione "COLONIA JANUENSIS 1113" data d'inizio della dominazione della Repubblica di Genova, alla sinistra della porta sono collocate due misure genovesi di capacità risalenti all'anno 1606, mentre la Torre è risalente al 1161.
 The Porta del Borgo and the Capitular Tower are connected to the walls that rise to the Doria castle, the medieval door bears the inscription "COLONIA JANUENSIS 1113", starting date of the domination of the Republic of Genoa, on the left of the door there are two Genoese measures of capacity dating back to the year 1606, while the Tower dates back to 1161.

Entering the village of Porto Venere, you immediately immerse yourself in an ancient atmosphere dating back to 1160. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ingresso di porto venere che fa parte delle cinque terre (sito patrimonio UNESCO). Il borgo si affaccia direttamente sul mare e potrete gustare piatti tipici locali. Si può raggiungere tramite auto (anche se ci sono pochi parcheggi disponibili è non sono economici), in battello partendo da La Spezia o da Lerici. Però da visitare anch’essi andandoci in auto perché vi rimarrà impresso nella mente per tutta la vita ???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Porta si trova nel centro storico del borgo medievale di Portovenere. Questo luogo incantevole è situato a sud delle Cinque Terre sulla sponda occidentale del promontorio del Golfo della Spezia. È raggiungibile dalle Cinque Terre con un servizio marittimo e da La Spezia con autobus dalla stazione centrale. È circondato da tre piccole isole: Palmaria, Tino e Tinetto. Portovenere insieme a Lerici, rappresenta un sito incluso nella lista mondiale dei patrimoni culturali dell'UNESCO. Le case che si affacciano sul porto sono molto caratteristiche, alte, strette con facciate dai colori forti. Sul promontorio, si trova la meravigliosa Chiesa di San Pietro risalente al V secolo costruita su un antico tempio romano. Sicuramente questo stupendo borgo è merito di una visita!????
La Porta is located in the historic center of the medieval village of Portovenere. This enchanting place is located south of the Cinque Terre on the western shore of the promontory of the Gulf of La Spezia. It can be reached from the Cinque Terre with a maritime service and from La Spezia by bus from the central station. It is surrounded by three small islands: Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto. Portovenere together with Lerici, represents a site included in the UNESCO world cultural heritage list. The houses overlooking the harbor are very characteristic, tall, narrow with brightly colored facades. On the promontory, there is the wonderful Church of San Pietro dating back to the 5th century built on an ancient Roman temple. Surely this beautiful village is worth a visit! ????

The shops and restaurants maybe are a little turned to tourists, so I’d focus on the walk and the views ♥️
