La costruzione Γ¨ del XX secolo venne consacrata nel 1975.
L'esterno Γ¨ contemporaneo, Γ¨ una strutturain cemento armato.
L'interno Γ¨ contemporaneo, minimalista, a pianta centrale.
Le caratteristiche di pregio della chiesa sono:
- altare di Lia Gisolini Godorno in marmo bianco, le sculture che vi sono in esso non hanno un significato preciso ma sta all'osservatore dare un significato.
- la cripta
- il cimitero dei vescovi.
CuriositΓ : ha la forma a cerchio, perchΓ© il cerchio Γ¨ una figura che unisce: il popolo di Dio Γ¨ unito a Cristo.

 The Cathedral of the Christ the King is one of the most curious structures in the region, it is located in the historic center of La Spezia.
The building dates back to the 20th century and was consecrated in 1975.
The exterior is contemporary, it is a reinforced concrete structure.
The interior is contemporary, minimalist, with a central plan.
The valuable features of the church are:
- altar of Lia Gisolini Godorno in white marble, the sculptures that are in it do not have a precise meaning but it is up to the observer to give a meaning.
- the crypt
- the cemetery of the bishops.
Curiosity: it has the shape of a circle, because the circle is a figure that unites: the people of God are united with Christ.

β β β β β For Catholics: Mass service is often in the Crypt. It's below the Cathedral on the street level.
Unfortunately the main building is not open all day so in the morning you can only visit quite empty spaces around round construction.
Still it's one of the few places in La Spezia with regular Masses during the week - starting from the morning 8am.
