G	Gavrila Lucian on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is not much of a castle (more like scattered walls around the old Doria). However, there are some very nice photo locations depending on sun’s position @ visiting hour. I also recommend following the alley up from Chiesa di San Pietro. Duration > 30’ max.

At the top floor of the Tiny little village of Portovenere - that is a gem- you can not only visit one of the oldest castle in Italy but admire a 360 degree view. Plus, you can have such a dramatic backdrop while you are exchanging vows. Wedding photos in Portovenere can be amazing and sunset time usually present you with one of a kind light.

It was a relaxing place to be closer to sunset and there were some areas to meander around. For what it was on the outside maybe 3.5-4 stars.

You have to pay to visit the castle, but its possible to observe from outside the details of the archtecture, the rock walls, and the cemetery nearby. From the top of the hill there is also an amazing view of Mater Naturae, where you can see the chapel, the wall structures and the greenish sea. Beautiful!

Also, if you charge your visitors 5 e, you should provide at least the very basic services (like WC, even your cafe seems closed for ages), shouldn't you?! Also the far corners of your castle will stink a little bit better in this case...
