Tristissimo... e lo è stato ancora di più incontrare dei turisti stranieri che dopo aver fatto km, sotto al sole, aspettandosi di poter visitare, o perlomeno ammirare, quel che resta della Real Cittadella... In one of the most beautiful and abandoned places in the city there are the remains of a very important 17th century fortress left there, in a state of degradation, neglect and abandonment, as if they did not exist. Very sad ... and it was even more so to meet foreign tourists than after having done km, under the sun, expecting to be able to visit, or at least admire, what remains of the Real Citadel ...

Da qui si può apprezzare lo Stretto di Messina, paesaggio tra i più belli e unici al mondo e si possono osservare i ruderi della seicentesca Real Cittadella. Purtroppo, le varie amministrazioni non hanno saputo valorizzare e restituire ai messinesi queste zone di notevole pregio che risultano sporche e degradate, i resti storici sono pericolanti e in totale abbandono. The falcata area of Messina and, in particular, the area of the Real Cittadella are sites of immense historical, cultural, natural and landscape value. From here you can appreciate the Strait of Messina, one of the most beautiful and unique landscapes in the world and you can see the ruins of the seventeenth-century Real Cittadella. Unfortunately, the various administrations have not been able to enhance and give back to the people of Messina these areas of considerable value that are dirty and degraded, the historical remains are unsafe and in total abandonment.

Tutta la zona del fronte mare è stato recintato e quindi non è più fruibile dal pubblico. Spero che venga bonificata tutta ka parte della real cittadella e fare un'attrazione turistica.
