 on the port of Portovenere, a shack with the writing and timetables, friendly and helpful people, to the island of Palmaria they make the journey in exactly 6 minutes and ... if there are no more seats on the return ferry ... they come to take with another ride! excellent service

They were cleaning several boats with a hose for mor than an hour. After they finished my little 3 year old son needs to wash his hands because of an ice cream emergency. A fat guy from the boat cooperativa came and took the hose away from my wife and my little son because the hose was a private hose. He didn´t allow my little son to finish washing his hands!
I came to see what was going on and asked him. He was very aggressive and nearly try to hit me!
DON´T GO THERE, Porto Venere is a beautiful place but I never experienced such a rude behavior in whole italy and we travel a lot.
An our later my 5 years old daughter needs to see a toilet. The guy from a nearby restaurant refused to let her go. She had to walk to the other end of the town to go to a public toilet (and pay 1.- Euro).
In front of a nice shop there was a sitting bench with a huge sign on it showing "private".
Go to somewhere else in Italy where people take your money and treat you with respect! BIG UNFRIENDLY TOURIST RIP OFF!!!
It is really sad because it is such a beautiful place...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In the morning the timetable was posted (see photo), and then in the afternoon the ferry picked up at another landing point (Terrizzo instead of Punta Secco). The wrong timetable was secretly exchanged, so as not to have to admit that the error lay with the provider, just trying to inform them about the error, the staff reacted very aggressive. This is no way to react to feedback from a customer.
