They tried to charge for options which were already paid online. It increased the final price 2.5 times. I started arguing, they cancelled reservation and refused to give me a car

TOTAL SCAM, do not use. We hired a car through a rental portal, prepaid. They tried to up sell us to a more expensive car but we said no. When doing an electronic signature at the Maggiore desk they didn't show us the contract, they added a bunch of extra insurance which came out double the original car hire cost. Totally fraudulent.

We hired a car for a trip into the Alps from the airport. We booked with Maggiore through a 3rd party rental website. We were very clear we had insurance and required no other extras, but, unknown to us, the tiny boxes for all extras were ticked and we were billed an extra €350 on top of our rental cost once we returned to the UK. Deceitful and money-grabbing - take your money elsewhere, I will avoid this company at all costs in the future.

Its a place when they will try to trick you and steal your money, in my case a person named SARA told me that everything is ok and the car is fully tanked, and after two days took money from my credit car that was block for fuel... And all of that while she was cheerfully smiling.

I rented a car here in August 2018. After I went back to my home country I saw that they have charged me (via my credit card) an extra fee. I sent them an email asking why -> no response. I sent them another email asking why -> no respone I called them to ask why -> they couldn't answer to me and asked me to send an email (!) This type of behavior is the same as robbing people. Shame on you!

The staff in this place will cheat on you on every occasion. They gave me car from lower class that i payed for. They also charged my credit card for fuel even though we returned car fully tanked. DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND.

DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY, EVER!!!! I pre-booked 2 Jeep Renegades for a week in January 2020, collection from Turin Airport. It was to travel to a ski resort, hence the choice of vehicle. On collection we were given a Kia Sportage and a Citron C3. I had requested Chains for both cars. Neither were really fit for purpose and struggled to move even on flat roads with any snow coverage. I attempted to fit the Chains, to discover when opening them that they were broken and unusable. Consequently we had to abandon both cars 800m from destination and incurred a £171 charge for car parking. One car left resort early without any further issues, when trying to depart with the Kia, it refused to start. I tried to call the provided breakdown phone number with repeated failures, eventually I got hold with someone only to be told that I would get a call back, which I didn't. I eventually got hold of someone who told me to leave the car in resort and return the keys to the desk at the airport. Transfers to the airport cost me an additional £60. I gave the keys in as requested and provided via emails to the company the following; - screen shots of the phone logs to the breakdown company at 05.30 - Screen shots of the invoice for cost of parking - Screenshots for the invoice for the transfers - Photographs of the broken chains as they were in the box. - video footage of a ski tour operator trying to help me start the car at 05.30. On top of the costs incurred, the rental company took from my credit card; £922.03, & £138.39 4 days after my return. They also tried to take a further £1037.32 & £915.97 the following day, but my credit card stopped that payment from going through. I telephoned Maggiore to discover what was going on, I was told that there was damage to the car (There was none) but that they could not tell me what the damage was, in-fact they couldn't tell me anything at all other than that the case was being passed to their damage department) I am currently £1291.42 out of pocket with this company and would have been a further £1953.29 out of pocket if it wasn't for my credit card company. 13 weeks after returning the keys to the company I can get no response from the company whatsoever. They have no customer service policy other than to steal from you without offering you the right to reply or a response in any way. 100% unsatisfied customer

Unfortunately, we were shocked by the service at the counter at the airport on November 18, 2021 at about 2 pm. We booked a car on the Economy Car Rentals website, provided all the necessary documents at the rental desk. The manager refused to provide a car because they presented an inappropriate driver's license - we have been traveling for about 8 years, we rent cars in Italy, Greece, Slovenia and always present the same documents - an international driver's license, as well as our own driver's license (Ukraine ). And then the manager added that we ordered a car on an incomprehensible website ... We lost our time, prepayment, nerves, but did not despair and got a car at another rental office at the airport. It turns out that we have everything in order with the documents :)
