★ ★ ★ ★ ★ food was actually very good but the behavior of the people working there kills it all, slowest service i’ve ever seen + they brought the bill at the exact same time as the dishes because they wanted to close and leave we had to eat in honestly 10 minutes whereas we waited for our pasta for literally 40 minutes. won’t go back

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The only place I felt any racism was at this restaurant where no one would greet me and when I asked for service was told there was nothing available on the patio despite several seats. You can see empty seats in the photo. I strongly suggest you do not go here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I read about La Trattoria de Gli Amici in Rick Steve's Italy guide book, so I decided to celebrate my birthday there. It was wonderful: service, food, ambiance. Several of the negative reviews seem to be written by people who do not understand the need for reservations in Rome, that Rome is hot in August, that we are living in a pandemic, and the mission of the restaurant. Had I more time, I would have returned for another meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stumbled into here by chance and was so pleasantly surprised. The food is amazing- I had the Cacio e Pepe. I had a main and a side, as well as sparkling water- all for €18. Very reasonable & well priced. I would come back again!
