Really bad food. Looks great and authentic. Had the eggplant parmigiana. The eggplant was rock hard and inedible. My husband had the liver and onions and was ill during the night. Avoid Avoid Avoid

Absolutely amazing. Some of - if not THE -best steaks we've ever had - and as real carnivores we've eaten many across the world. The atmosphere was amazing, real family restaurant, and we ate there for hours. We started with some caprese, drank wine, had a steak they recommended, drank some more with some other small dishes, and a couple hours later shared a second stake. I loved how all the men who worked in the restaurant came to check on the cut steak with my fiance before it went on the grill, inspecting how beautiful it was, if the weight was right. All felt very Italian. Wonderful owners/people who worked here. Very charming. Best way to spend our last evening. Will definitely come back when in Rome.

Literally the best pappardelle with wild bore ragΓΉ I've ever had. It's literally punch me in the face good. Everything else we ordered was excellent. Don't sleep on this restaurant.

Expensive but it is definitely worth the money. One of the best meats I have ever had in my life and it is no exaggeration. It was our last meal in a two week stay in Rome and it was definitely the right choice if I'm ever back in Rome no doubt I'll be back.

I cannot recommend this restaurant. It looks very tempting with the meat on display out front. The meals tasted ok, but inadequately sized, the staff seemed disinterested, and we had to get up to go and find some salt. Overall we expected a lot more for the money.

I will definitely go again ! The pasta and the meat… are excellent, perfect cooking and seasoning. Really really good quality food. The service is also perfect, friendly, caring. They also gave us advice on other restaurants in Rome. Fantastic evening in this restaurant. Thanks again to the whole staff.

Great food and amazing atmosphere. The carbonara was the best Ive ever had and the steaks are perfectly grilled. There is a variety of steaks you can choose from and they explain the differences to you. Not cheap but resonable prices and definitely worth anit.

Short version TL;DR: bad and slow service, watched multiple tables come and go and eat same as what we ordered. Left after food showed up at 1h45m but one of past dishes still undercooked. Too bad because the waiters were nice but the cashier fellow was not very helpful. Long version: Was really excited to try this place. It had pretty decent reviews and the photos looked amazing. The place also attracts people of all demographics from new parents to fashionistas. They also have a great wine list. We were looking forward to trying the beef tail amongst other things that the steak house may be famous for. Unfortunately it ended up being a unforgettable experience for all the wrong reasons. After getting our wine and bread we sat and watched table after table get served, pay their bill, and then leave. At first we chalked it up to us ordering three mains and no antipasti so we decided to say nothing. The Spanish duo next to us got their meals, finished and left. As the four or five tables around us went through a similar cycle we started to wonder and to ask our server how much longer we had to wait. Instead of returning to answer our question, he would disappear for five minutes at a time to the kitchen. It's possible he also had limited English and we had limited Italian and it may have been a perfect storm. However as the two tables directly to our right and directly to our left received their main courses and we still had not received an answer we demanded an answer this time to which the waiter went back to the cashier to get an answer of 6 minutes and they promised a bruschetta to make up for the wait. We waited another 10-15 minutes or so and the food finally came out (no bruschetta), so at this point we waited an hour and 45 minutes. The carbonara and truffle pasta was actually pretty good. However the Cacio e Pepe was definitely undercooked. Just in case it was my perception and not the case (I tried to be impartial) I pinched a piece of pasta in front of him and he showed the boss at the cashier desk again and he agreed it was undercooked and sent it back to be replaced. Once we watched yet another table get served the exact same pasta dishes we had ordered (minus the beef) we decided that enough was enough. At this point still no bruschetta. Clearly the guys in the kitchen didn't have the common sense to speed up the order or replace it with one of the many other identical dishes sitting around the kitchen - even though multiples of the same dish had come and gone in front of us yet we had to wait yet again for the order to be re done correctly. We informed the server we were leaving and that we were disappointed with their service. His response was that normally he would apologize and say sorry but since it only happens once a year or so that he couldn't explain why our order got lost and that it must be the kitchen that messed up the lost order so that he was unable to apologize. Since this was an extremely strange answer I couldn't help but believe this was either lost in translation or he simply felt as a restaurant in Trastevere that they must be untouchable and they didn't need to extend at least the courtesy of an explanation or apology. Given this experience and how great the service has been in the rest of Italy, I'd truly recommend you eat somewhere else, even if you have to line up. I have been all over the world and never have I waited almost two hours for my dinner to be made incorrectly. I love Rome and didn't expect to experience that here.
