★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a great experience. The hote is in a portion of the Castle and the view of Ischia is absolutely amazing. The service at the hotel was topnotch. Everyone was helpful, friendly and happy to serve. The breakfast was great and the best view in our vacation. Dinner at the castle was great, service and food were delicious. The rooms are not big but comfortable. Can't wait to come back!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been to Ischia many times and have always wanted to stay here. First, the location itself is utterly unique and spectacular. You are stepping into ancient times and it’s amazing. The staff from the gatekeeper to the bag delivery to the desk and barista were wonderfully kind and accommodating. The room is white and simple as you’d expect from a monastery, framing amazing views of the island of Ischia that will take your breath away. The breakfast food and view also stunning. I could not recommend this more. You’d spend three times as much at a holiday inn. Book here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The location of this restaurant is without doubt one of the most unique and beautiful I have been to, with fantastic views over the harbour in Ischia Ponte. The service was impeccable and the waiter was very attentive, making sure to spoil me as it was my birthday. We had the 6 course tasting menu for €70 which I think was very good value considering the variety of dishes we had. I would highly recommend dining here as a special treat for anyone visiting Ischia. Grazie Mille

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive: This hill top,historic, island hotel in a monastry, reached by a causeway, tunnel & elevator, is truely an experience not to be missed. Beautiful, tranquil, fantastic 8 course dinner, overlooking the sea. Clean, comfortable, super friendly staff. Fabulous.. Negative: Nothing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive: From sleeping below 16th century vaulted ceilings to a dinner of homegrown produce and castle-made wine, Albergo Il Monastero can only be summarised as an Italian fairytale come true. The views across Ischia and the Tyrrhenian Sea are spectacular, the grounds are abundant with olive trees, vines, Mediterranean fruit, vegetables and cascading bougainvilleas. The staff is attentive, the breakfast is brilliant and our stay inside the converted monastery couldn't have been more special. It is and will remain one of the most memorable places I have visited, I can't wait to return..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing view from our clean room with vaulted ceilings. The hand-painted tiles were beautiful. We were so lucky to stay in a place with such rich history. Drinks and food were also delicious, but be prepared for an expensive bill! You will not get better views, and if you stay from May-July, you'll be sure to see the sunset over the water next to the island - breathtaking views!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am going to start of by saying that this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The employees are very friendly and professional. Everything is very clean and the service is excellent even during the pandemic . The food is fresh and you can enjoy a beautiful view while eating. The beach is just outside the door. The first time I was here I was 4 years old and when we left the owner gave me a wooden boat as a gift and when we returned 12 years later he remembered me and gave me the same boat as a present again. Everything was perfect and I want to thank the staff for our great stay and vacation.
