β β β β β Very overpriced restaurant with extremely high prices. The quality of dishes was low. We ordered pasta al richio for 35 euro!!! For this money it has to be fantastic, but it was really raw even though i know how al dente pasta must be cooked. So we canceled the dish but they include it in our bill. The menu is very very poor and dishes start from 20 euro. The portions are very poor too. Maybe they pretend to be Michelin restaurant;) I donβt recommend anybody to visit the restaurant not to be disappointed. But anyway if you are ready to pay for the view , you are welcome;)

β β β β β The restaurant is magnificent with its breathtaking view. The fish is really fresh and the dishes are tasty and well prepared. I'd advise this restaurant, despite its high but comprehensible price, to people who enjoy eating fish. There are dishes without fish and the quality is, as well, high.

β β β β β It is a really nice place. The beach is overlooking the rock and castle. There is a small island for sunbathing and the restaurant is exceptionally good.
But... The price is quite high, especially compared to similar food offerings on the island (we paid 160 for lunch plus 80 for the wine). It would be 5 stars, if prices would be more in line with other restaurants.
The pools are nice and sufficient. Best to be reached by water taxi (the stairs are a challenge after lots of food and sun ;-)
In the end a really nice place and certainly worth a visit, but be prepared to spend a little more than on your average Ischia day out.

β β β β β Fantastic location! small cosy little rooms some with a view. Fab cuisine (even if the restaurant is one of the most expensive on the island is really worth) Friendly family atmosphere. Ideal for couples. Unfortunately you have to be in good shape to go up and down therefore no access for disability

β β β β β Really poor service. We literally had to ask someone to take our order. Food took a long time to come and no one asked us if we wanted more drinks. Meanwhile a table of kids (men of course) next to us were served like kings whilst making a lot of loud and disturbing noise. The nail in the coffin was the huge price tag that youβd expect to pay in a restaurant with far better service. Steer clear!

β β β β β Like most, we were ecstatic to secure a reservation at this Michilin-recommended restaurant. Having spent the previous three weeks traveling around Italy for our honeymoon, my new wife and i were curious to taste what was rumored to be some of the best cuisine beautiful Ischia had to offer.
We take our seat promptly at 9:30.
Immediate impression, the location, a seafront dinning area with views of the nearby castle was breathtaking. It's like something out of a movie you never imagined you would be so fortunate to one day star in.
The comes the wine, a nice selection of admittedly higher prices varieties with an abundance of local options to choose. We select a Cambrian white and anticipate the experience to come.
Having taken our time to become familiar with the menu, my wife and i select to put our fates in the chef. We'll take the tasting menu one and two, we tell the server. She agrees with our selection and input the order.
The starters arrive quickly. With salivating tongues. we bite into a breaded sea bass with green tomatoe sauce as accompanyment. The first thing we notice is the temperature. It's, dare we say it, luke warm. The bass too, it leaves a little to be desired in the moisture category. All's well, it's just the first courses, after all. We are sure the next dish will be remarkable. Michilin doesn't just recomend anyone. We pour some more wine and stare out into the endless sea.
The second courses appears shortly thereafter. As we have opted for two different tasting menus, my wife receives a bowl of mussels in a well flavored red sauce. I receive a selection of small bites. They come ona single bosrd and are meant to build as you go from one to the other. There's a tuna tartare, a red shrimp, an oyster on the half shell as the finisher. To my surprise, each is as disappointing as the next. The tartare is unflavorfull and tastes fishy in the worst of ways. The shrimp is creamy and overdone. Like something you find at an all you can eat sushi joint in Rome. Even the oyster on the half shell tastes like it was prepped a couple hours beforehand and is just being plated and sent out without attention.
I ask my new wife is she wants to continue. Shes embarrassed to say no, but I pick up her displeasure as clear as day. I tell her if she prefers she can leave the restaurant and wait for me up the hill. She agrees and I wave over the waiter. I tell ghe server, and nice woman who i in no way blame for this experience, that we are not interested in continuing with the meal. She's confused and asks if everything is alright. I tell her we were just expecting more. What else can you really say? The server gets the general manager. He comes over and I repeat myself. After some excuses and an brief attempt to justify the mediocrity of the meal, he agrees to tally up only what we have eaten up,to that point. Not wanting to be the complaining American in the the most beautiful place on earth, I say fine, pay the bill, and walk out, wine in hand, the fishy taste of being swindled, still in my mouth,
In summary, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. The food is an insult to the magnificent geography in which the restaurant sits. As a lover of italian cuisine, i know that It takes a special kind of incompetence, or perhaps it's neglect, to screw up ingredients as good as those you find in Italy. Still, Giardino Eden manages to do so.
Save your money, save your appetite, and go find one of the dozen other trully local restaurants scattered all around this Island that are sure to blow your mind away and redefine your understanding of seafood forever thereafter.
Good luck and happy eating.

β β β β β Location is nice, the facilities are completely dated, the staff is polite but will try to add extra items on your bill because most people there arrive from yachts and they donβt look how much they pay and the staff uses it at their own benefits. You can get a much better food at 1/3rd of the price in hundreds of other restaurants on the island. So not worth it.

β β β β β AVOID if you are expecting good, customer-focused service. Very menacing staff & a confronting experience for my family today.
When we arrived the place looked amazing. The wait staff were initially very friendly and served us cocktails. We had our children with us & they offered some good kids menu options.
My 9 year old daughter wanted to go to the bathroom, and I told her to put her fingers in the water of the pool on the way to the bathroom. When she did she, she was immediately scolded by a pool man in a red shirt, very rudely. We're not precious about our kids, and will happily admonish/admit when our kids do the wrong thing - but in this case my daughter quite innocently felt the pool & the pool guy was being over zealous.
We had a decent lunch. Later, after lunch my wife & kids went to look at the ocean pool. The same guy in red follow them closely the whole way, watching & started blocking paths to areas he didn't want them to go. His manner was quite confronting.
Finally, we asked if we could swim in the pool after lunch. They told us it would be 18 euro per person. We said that's fine and I proceeded to pay, While paying, the same guy in red went up to my wife & kids and told them they were only allowed in 1 of the 4 pools, very rudely. No one had told us this previously.
I tried to explain the aggressive behaviour of the man in red to the staff taking the payment, but they did nothing. The menacing guy actually stood right there at the payment counter the whole time, and followed us out when we left. I said we would leave and that he was being aggressive.
His behaviour ruined our experience at this lunch.
My recommendation to tourists -- there are many great, friendly and high-quality places to eat on Ischia & Capri. AVOID go to this restaurant. They do not care about customerβs experience.
I'm sure they will reply here with some poor excuses, rather than accepting responsibilities for their employees behaviour. Honestly, don't believe any of it - just go somewhere else.
