★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful place. A lot of view points with wonderful scenery. As of 2021 ticket price is 12 per adult. They give you a booklet with map and description of objects.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Elevator not working, so only stairs. requires sle effort to do the full trail. 12 eur per person, they forced us to pay cash when there was pos, someone was paying on pos when we came down, so seems fishy. there are 25 points of interest with views all around the rock. the gardens and orchards are also interesting. The castle is degraded however. we enjoyed the walk to entrance , 30 minutes by foot from port, but there was also small bus.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful castle with a great view. Worth your time to visit, but the price was a bit rich, considering almost nothing was open and you largely just walk the grounds.
The line for tickets was ridiculously long. Why?
Good question. Many reasons, mostly incompetence.
They don’t accept credit cards. Tell people.
They wanted to see EVERYONE’s green pass. Again, tell people.
Then, they couldn’t make change and needed exact Euro. Again, post a sign! By the time people made it to the window, they’d be ready!
Instead we wait in our little booth and surprise each customer w these requirements.
Then when she hands me back 3 passports, 3 green passes, a receipt and the 20 euro I gave her, that she couldn’t make change for so my wife provided exact change, she shoves it out thru the glass opening and all but blew away?!
Ps the modern art exhibits were a miss…
Beautiful castle. Staff needs help.

It's nice for the view and to make pictures of the city. But for the Castle itself, it's not worth €12 per adult ticket. There's no information, and the more info you find about it yourself, the less interesting it gets.
I finished the whole castle and all 26 points of interest in 45 minutes.
For normal people I'd recommend 2-3 hours on a normal pace.

Even if you come from Naples, the move to Ischia and the cattle is worse it.
But be careful, the climbs and the walks aren't for every one. Little kids and old peoples can suffer of the up and down stairs all around the visit.
But if you can handle it, the view is huge and the gardens really beautiful.
