No words for this place. Feeling like a character of a Byron’s poem.

Lovely little cove for tourist visit, or boat trip. Nice little town for bars and restaurants. Byron famously liked to swim there.

Great place for a swim after exploring the nearby harbor town of Portovenere, the hilltop castle and the headland lookout. Swim with caution as there is no beach and entry/exit from water are via rocky ledges. Hide out in the cave at far right, past the railing, if the day is too hot.

One of the gems in the Mater Naturae. Such an amazing view with clean green/blue stormy water near the grotta. In the summer, with good weather conditions its possible to find tours to get closer to the grotta. But even, it’s possible to have a good view from the rocks, where you find basic structure to walk on.

Just along from the harbour. Byron’s grotto isa n inspirational area to visit in the footsteps of the enigmatic poet Byron. What a beautiful sheltered cove with calm sea and views projecting along the Cinque Terra. An open gate allows access to the steps down to the rocky shoreline.

Breathtaking place, with the real nature. It’s possible to swim here, however, there is no specifically created descent into the water. There are large rocks, and ones in the water are covered with algae and moss, which can make it difficult for children to enter into the water. However, if done carefully, this is a great place and a great experience!
