★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Off the beaten path and up a bunch of stairs, you will find the Fuori Rotta. This place has a spectacular view of Riomaggiore and the ocean. If you're coming for dinner, be aware that they don't start serving food until 7pm. They don't take reservations and there are only a few tables with outdoor seating, so make sure to give yourself enough time. Their cocktails were great and the food was delicious. Highly recommended if you find yourself in Riomaggiore!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spectacular restaurant, the tasting menu was unreal. Fresh shrimps (melt in your mouth kinda feeling), the filled crab was mind blowing, pasta cooked perfectly al dente, wonderful fish and dessert just speechless…Try to find a table outside to get the amazing view.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really enjoyable food in a very small and cozy setting (just 4 tables inside). Service was very considerate, chef even adapted starter from menu to be vegetarian. There was just one vegetarian main course available - which was a little disappointing - but this was amazing ... as the special starter, and the dessert. All in all a perfect dinner place.
Important... make a reservation by phone or email ... not easy to get a table otherwise.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful view, elevated food (best beef cheek I’ve ever had with just the right amount of truffle taste, and friends raving about the pumpkin pasta with licorice), self-effacing host/owner who makes an effort to speak English with patience and humor, and recommends excellent local wine. Most of all grateful that they are open in February on a Tuesday. Yes, size is not big but right in my opinion. Reserve ahead just to be sure (closed Wednesdays):-)
