โ โ โ โ โ Went with an Italian friend. Main dish was fine. Had a hard time ordering further food as we tried calling the waiters over but were acknowledged and then ignored. Restaurant was half empty but our cutlery was taken away immediately and not offered anything more. Asked for dessert and waited more than half an hour for a dessert of mascarpone and whipped cream. Poor service all around. Also FYI, read the Italian part of the menu as the English translation is missing a few ingredients.

โ โ โ โ โ The food at Lagrotta was delicious. Ligurian style fish was very good, the side was great and the pasta with pesto a very simple and tasty option.
The service was very nice and friendly, they did not make us run the other way like the other precious restaurants from the โbeachโ where if you donโt have a reservation they almost kick you out and if you have...somehow they confuse outside with inside.
The place looks very nice also, worth a shot!

โ โ โ โ โ We had lunch at La Grotta in July 2020. We had Tartufi pasta with clams, Octopus with asparagus or parsley cream? & the Pesto Genovese. As weโve lived & traveled in Europe for 7 years, I was a bit disappointed. The octopus was overcooked with a flavorless asparagus/ parley cream?, I love octopus, just not this dish. The pasta with pesto Genovese was overcooked & a bit mushy along with the potatoes & green beans, we couldnโt finish it. The Tartufi pasta with clams was the best tasting dish overall. The prices were surprisingly higher than I expected for a lunch vs other high quality restaurants. We left a bit hungry afterwards and disappointed as the rest of our restaurant meals in the area were fantastic. I hope the restaurant can step up as it was recommended by our stay who had not steered us wrong with other recommendations in the area. The staff was friendly and it really made us feel terrible to not enjoy our meal and leave a plate of food behind.

โ โ โ โ โ We were here for lunch in August 2021. My wife and I split an octopus salad. She had tagliatini with shrimp and yellow tomatoes, I had fish gnocchetti with fagioli, with vino & frizzante (71euro). A very pleasant lunch
