My advice: Get a take away plus wine from the main street and go up to eat at sunset with a romantic view!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful place, the nicest of all 5 towns, in my opinion. A bit too cold and definitely empty because of Covid and winter, of course, but this was the only time we could make it there. We didn’t walk, we took the train. Very clean and fast. Recommended ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Old ruined castle above Riomaggiore. There is a lift available just outside the town's station to access. Views are very nice. Be aware there is a walk (hike) between this and the next town of Cinque Terre, called Manarola. Unfortunately this is closed due to a landslide and not expected to be reopening until 2024.
