★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Impresentable el trato recibido en la entrada, en especial por la señora de gafas que se encontraba vendiendo los tickets, no merecedora de un puesto de trabajo donde representa a un gran monumento y a su ciudad.
Unbeatable the treatment received at the entrance, especially by the lady in glasses who was selling the tickets, not deserving of a job where she represents a great monument and her city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fontana detta a "saracinesca" risalente al 1933 nell'ambito dei lavori di contenimento del Colle Celio, sormontata da una vasca di antica fattezza, risulta poco armonica rispetto al contesto archeologico nel quale è inserita.
Fountain called "saracinesca" dating back to 1933 as part of the containment works of the Colle Celio, surmounted by a basin of ancient features, it is not very harmonious compared to the archaeological context in which it is inserted.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Questa fontana in via di S. Gregorio essendo del 1933, risulta moderna rispetto al contesto in cui si trova.
Fu realizzata quando furono eseguiti imponenti lavori di “sistemazione dell’area” con l’allargamento di Via dei Trionfi (oggi via di San Gregorio) e via dei Fori Imperiali.
La composizione è abbastanza solenne: addossato al muro un grande prospetto in marmo ondulato, dal quale scende l’acqua a mo’ di cascata.
L’acqua si riversa in una grande vasca, appoggiata su una grande base in travertino che comprende tre gradini.
Ai lati, in posizione simmetrica, vi sono due lastre di marmo, dove un tempo erano presenti i fasci littori e la scritta S.P.Q.R. ancora visibile.
Being in 1933, this fountain in via di S. Gregorio is modern compared to the context in which it is located.
It was built when massive "area works" were carried out with the enlargement of Via dei Trionfi (now via di San Gregorio) and via dei Fori Imperiali.
The composition is quite solemn: a large corrugated marble façade leans against the wall, from which the water flows like a waterfall.
The water flows into a large tank, resting on a large travertine base that includes three steps.
On the sides, in a symmetrical position, there are two marble slabs, where once there were lictor beams and the inscription S.P.Q.R. still visible.
