★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have travelled in Italy for 2 years and this is my favourite hotel. Fantastic location, easy access to all parts of Venice, close to the station, wonderful yummy breakfast with the best coffee and hosts Giacomo and Giulia are the best. Super hosts. Highly recommend staying here when in Venice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a really nice stay here. (Daniel) Awesome hospitality and great people all around. The room was very nice (we stayed in a relative new one a bit further in the alley). Double airco was easily cooling down the hot sunny day and the breakfast was great as well! Very short walk from the station even with our portable house as a suit case. ;)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Albergo Marin does hospitality right. I choose this place from the recommended on seat61, and I was not disappointed with this choice. After arriving early on the overnight train from Rome, they were kind enough to store my luggage. Additionally the close proximity to the train station paid dividends. Venice is massive labyrinth, and I was very happy I did not need to travel far with my bags. I can’t say this enough, many high end hotels could learn a thing or two about the nature of hospitality from the Albergo Marin. Their service was so warm and personal. I highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed in November for 5 nights, paid a non-refundable rate. Loved the location, just across from the train station. Not far from where you can catch a vaporetto. Friendly staff.
Only warning is that it’s in an old building. So e.g. our wardrobe was slanted. The bathroom door took a bit of effort to close too.
Loved the hot showers. It’s not perfect but overall would recommend it for a good price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Another wonderful stay at the lovely Albergo Marin. As I've said in other reviews over the years, to me, this hotel has it all. The location is perfect: a short walk from Piazzale Roma (the bus/car park) and the train station, just steps from the Grand Canal, but away from the crowds that can be so prevalent in much of Venice. The rooms are comfortable and clean; the breakfast is substantial; and I can't say enough about the kind management and staff. I know they are helpful to everyone. But to me, who has been here so often, they make me feel like a member of the family. I already have a room booked for when I return in October. I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is incredible.
Don’t let the price fool you, the rooms are nicer than the Hilton - and the cost is nearly half. Minded, I stayed in the newly renovated modern rooms - they were exactly that. Modern and well kept with a comfy bed and all the amenities.
But the service was over the top, at every step. This is one of those - truly boutique, run by locals who care type hotels that keeps their service above par for everyone. From going into detail about the best restaurants, taking into consideration vegetarian options, and knowing all the best ins and outs through Venice, to the cleaning staff being overly kind and respectful. I had even left my luggage and the staff made sure everything was kept safely and even came back in the middle of the night to make sure I got it back.
For context, I stayed at four hotels - everything from the JW to the Hilton, to Aquarius and Albergo - and I can without a doubt say the price vs quality heavily favors Albergo Marin. 10/10 would stay again (and hope to)!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice, simple but friendly hotel. Fantastic reception. Clean and quiet rooms, pretty small but totally sufficient. No minibar. One of our rooms had a super modern shower, our kids loved it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a lovely, boutique-style hotel. I don’t know why it’s only got 1-star. It’s far nicer than some of the 3-star hotels in the area. The rooms were nice. They had ceiling fans and air-conditioning and a private bathroom with a nice shower. It might be important to note that they don’t have an elevator in case that’s important to you. We opted for a package that includes breakfast which was excellent! The family that owns this and the staff were very nice and helpful. They helped us arrange dinner at a couple of great local restaurants and transportation to the airport. It is in a great location! We highly recommend this hotel!
