★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Hotel Gardena was absolutely great. We slept like babies, got a free upgraded room and enjoyed our stay. The room was large, comfortable and clean with two windows that opened to a view of the canal below. The staff at reception were very friendly. The bathroom was massive and well equipped. As for location, this hotel is in a perfect spot, especially if you’re just staying for a night before a cruise. It’s just a five-minute walk from the train station to the hotel and five minutes to the people mover to the cruise terminal. Overall, we were exceptionally pleased with our selection of this hotel and would highly recommend it.

The room is a bit too small and the view was quite bad.
Yet it is very well decorated. In fact you don’t really look outside so the view isn’t a problem. The cleaning service is very convenient even in case you have a small nap, you’ll always find your room super clean !
The breakfast is quite nice, particularly compared to Venitian standards. It is too possible to have it in a very calm terrace. In case you need to leave the hotel early, it is possible to get a breakfast box !
The staff is super nice and always kind with you.

The personnel were very kind and friendly.
And after all they have the best coffe in Venice!
The owner and the woman from Moldova which we interacted were very kind and helpful!

The room was nice and big, bed was comfortable, the hotel was beautiful and the location was perfect. Very happy here, I booked a another night stay after. The staff were helpful, friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful hotel, amazing location (super convenient to bus station, but also central to all of the sites in Venice). We appreciated the free breakfast. Our only complaint was that our hallway and room were smelly throughout the stay - almost like fish? The lobby always smelled fine, but as we came up the stairs to where our room was we were taken aback by a rank smell. We only stayed for two nights, so we made it work and didn't raise a fuss.
