Giulio Romano's great villa built in roman style

Palazzo del Te or Palazzo Te is a palace in the suburbs of Mantua, Italy. It is a fine example of the mannerist style of architecture, and the acknowledged masterpiece of Giulio Romano. Although formed in Italian, the usual name in English of Palazzo del Te is not that now used by Italians. The official modern name, and by far the most common name in Italian, is Palazzo Te. The English name arises because Vasari calls it the "Palazzo Del T"[1], and English-speaking writers, especially art historians, still most often call it "Palazzo del Te". Really suggested. Well maintened.

Absolutely fantastic, I was blown away by the frescoes and murals. Such a fabulous array of art and it was so quiet when we visited, hardly anyone there which allowed you to spend as long as you want taking in the amazing rooms.

I thought I've seen beautiful architecture until visiting Palazzo Te. Mantova is a beautiful town and this place is one of the reason to travel there. The whole palace is a piece of art and I highly recommend visiting.

The building is not special but the murals are absolutely unique and awe inspiring.

A must if you’re visiting Mantova. Fabulous art and architecture. Best seen in a sunny day; buying tickets in advance is useful to skip the queue. Audio guides are cheap and useful to learn about the design and details (5€) and must be played on your own phone (so make sure you have your headphones with you if your phone does not have an headphone jack) Good snack bar at the end.
