★ ★ ★ ★ ★ È una chiesa sconsacrata. Meriterebbe di essere visitata e tenuta meglio.
It is a deconsecrated church. It deserves to be visited and kept better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Molto bella esternamente, chiesa sconsacrata.
Very beautiful externally, deconsecrated church. Majestic inside with statues and marble but without furniture. Too bad it's been closed too long ....

Seventeenth-century church commissioned by the religious order of the Theatines on a project by the architect A.M.Viani. During the French occupation it became a military parish dedicated to San Napoleone (traces of it can be seen above the entrance portal), and then returned to San Maurizio. Closed for worship since 1957, it is open occasionally thanks to the volunteers of the Mantuan Touring club.
