The Pescherie di Giulio Romano in Mantua dedicate the exhibition project '' Sewing time '', curated by Stefano Baia Curioni and Melina Mulas, to the theme of art as the weaving of everyday life. The exhibition collects and presents to the public the research of six Italian artists: Sonia Costantini and Maria Lai (7 - 26 September 2021), Marta Allegri and Irene Lanza (28 September - 17 October 2021), Rosanna Bianchi Piccoli and Antonella Zazzera (19 October - November 7, 2021).

È un luogo magico che riporta ed attualizza il fascino di un epoca, che è sicuramente in grado di integrarsi e fondersi con quella attuale.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Come si intuisce dal nome, furono progettate come mercato del pesce nel 1536 su disegno di Giulio Romano che progettò anche l'attiguo macello pubblico, denominato "Beccherie". Bellissimo scorcio su porticato ed edifici medioevali che affacciano direttamente su Rio.
As the name suggests, they were designed as a fish market in 1536 based on a design by Giulio Romano who also designed the adjacent public slaughterhouse, called "Beccherie". Beautiful glimpse of the portico and medieval buildings that directly overlook Rio.
