Innalzata per ringraziare degli scampati pericoli nel terremoto del 1693, ha avuto un suo culto popolare che ancora l'accompagna.
Vale un'occhiata durante il giro per la bella piazza Canossa.
 A church that would have nothing in particular except the name it bears.
Raised to thank the survivors of the 1693 earthquake, it had a popular cult that still accompanies it.
It is worth a look during the tour for the beautiful Piazza Canossa.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesa piccola ma molto suggestiva e merita di essere visitata, anche perché si trova in una delle piazze più belle di Mantova e di fronte c'è il palazzo Matilde di Canossa. Di fianco alla chiesa di può vedere la cupola di Sant'Andrea.
Small but very suggestive church and worth a visit, also because it is located in one of the most beautiful squares in Mantua and opposite is the Matilde di Canossa palace. Next to the church you can see the dome of Sant'Andrea.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sorta sul luogo dove venne ritrovata un'immagine della Madonna durante un terremoto che colpì Mantova nel XV secolo, venne eretta per ricordare la miracolosa protezione di Maria sulla città durante il triste evento. Composta da una piccola navata centrale, divisa con un cancello dall'altare. Attualmente chiusa, è visitabile solo in occasioni particolari, come la Giornata FAI di Primavera 2021.
Built on the place where an image of the Madonna was found during an earthquake that hit Mantua in the 15th century, it was erected to commemorate the miraculous protection of Mary over the city during the sad event. Composed of a small central nave, divided by a gate from the altar. Currently closed, it can only be visited on special occasions, such as the FAI Spring Day 2021.
