Nice place to visit, if you have 6,50€ extra I recoment do visiting the museum at least a port of the museum. Casually we encountered with school visit so we get free guide to the museum since the teacher was explaining the things on the museum, I wish I could understand Italian tough.

Wow! I haven't been in a museum in a while, but this one blow me away! So much history and beauty, it is hard to describe and even the photos can't quite show how impressive and amazing the place is. I had an amazing time and if you are in the area I highly recommend visiting the Ducale Palace.

The beautiful Palazzo Ducale is easily accessible as it is the heart of the city of Mantova. From the outside you can perceive it’s size, but once you’re visiting it on the inside you get to understand what a labyrinth it actually is. Is has a incredible amount of rooms, which almost all of them have been restored to their best state. Their ceilings are known to be one by one a masterpiece in themselves. It’s a real treat to the eye, a visit to this palace. This visit will take you some time though, as it is so large inside. Good to know is that tickets are free for architecture students, as long as you prove it.

Incredible frescos and an impressive monument to a piece of past European history that is largely overlooked.

Nice palace with beautiful painted rooms. Famous for camera degli sposi, but the rest of the palace is equally if not even more impressive.

Great art, not enough info :/ The path is sometimes indicated in a subtle way, so it’s easy to skip parts of the visit. While there are extensive descriptions for the main artworks and rooms, the rest of the labels are quite short and don’t provide much info. You can book tickets online and the queue is shorter, but why don’t allow the purchase online altogether? So: the art, the rooms, the history… all great. But as a museum it should be designed and managed better. Whoever is running things in this potentially fabulous attraction should do better to do it justice.

A must. There are so many paintings and so many rooms that 2 hours are enough just to understand it's beauty. The Italian Buckingham Palace. Judge you if it's better or not. Enjoy
