Even though our first experience with Sixt wasn’t the most enjoyable at the Beginning... thanks to our assistant Denise, everything ended up going great! Due to a delayed flight we arrived at Sixt after the closing time so we had to wait until the next day to pick up our car. Unfortunately, due to some contractual clauses stipulating a grace period of 1 hour to check in the car, we were cut off and we ended up without any. Finally, after a long morning trying to figure out how to solve the situation, Denise (the front desk assistant) made sure to help us out and give us the best solution offering a different car to compensate our loss. She showed great compassion and professionalism listening to us and understanding our concerns. I am very thankful that she was there to assist us and I think it’s worth to give the right props for Denise. Thank you so much! 5 stars all the way!

The costs shown on website almost double when you go to pick up the car. The person explains how bad the situation with cars is in and around Naples with accidents and car theft. They also tell you that each scratch on a car is counted as separate incident subject to EUR 2000 deductible for each incidence. The potential damage costs manage to scare you to buy additional insurance.The insurance is extremely expensive and they also add charges for special location etc. Usually, the car rentals in a city do not charge special charges, only airport pickups charge airport fees. Mostly, the added costs spoil the whole experience. The return process is weird. You go into the garage and park the car. A person with no ID comes and says everything is OK and wants the key to the car. In a city where car theft are common (SIXT wants to sell additional car theft insurance), this is very unnerving. So we ended up not giving the key to this unknown person but went back to the office to return the car keys. They do not give you a receipt right away, they send it to you in email later.

Friendly staff willing to serve and answer all my questions. The car was in great condition and it was really easy to return it without any delays

Great staff and great car. Just too many hidden costs that were not made explicit during the initial booking. Admittedly this was done through a third party (rentalcars.com), that said, this is not the first time I make bookings through the platform, but, this is definitely the first time I face such high additional costs. Knowing those in advance would have made me choose another option.

Denise, employee at Sixt Napoli Stazione Centrale, is phenomenal. We could not figure out where to return our car. I hopped out of the car after parking and went into the station to find Sixt. Denise not only was friendly in greeting me, but she closed the shop and walked with me to where my car was parked and drove us to the parking structure (underground parking structure directly across the street from the station, but not marked as Sixt) and personally checked us in. Thank you Denise for your wonderful cheery demeanor and quick problem solving! Caren and family from Oregon

Do not use this company. As bad as other cheaper car rental companies. I have used sixt to avoid the extra charges you usually get from other companies however they did exactly the same. After paying 280 euros for a car for less than a week they are not charging me a further 150 euros which I don't even understand why! They have increased taxes and fees from the original quote and they are now trying to charge me a full tank of petrol when I used less than half! They lie to you at reception just to trick you into spending more money! Never again!
