★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rented a car in Naples. Three months later I get a $34 charge with no explanation. A few days after that I get another random $34 charge! I figured Hertz would be more trust worthy than this. They will not explain what its for so I have to now dispute the charges with the credit card. Pretty ridiculous how they have all your contact info but cannot reach out to explain why they are charging you extra money months after you rented the car.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had two very positive experiences with this location on our trip to Amalfi/Napoli.
It was very easy to check in. There can be a bit of a wait depending on when you arrive, but that is typical when renting. The actual car pick-up and drop-off is in the bus terminal across the street. It is in a great location to get to the main A3/E45 highway. The main roads to get you there are definitely manageable for any competent driver. I drive NYC frequently and had no problem (well, almost) in Napoli.
The staff were very courteous and extremely helpful. We met Giuseppe who was happy to show us the car and where all of the controls were. It had been a while since I drove stick, and Giuseppe was happy to give me a few quick pointers and reminders. He even gave us a quick test drive to make sure we were OK with the car. Then we all had a quick glass of water and were on our way! Without Giuseppe, our trip may have gone quite differently :)
I definitely recommend this Hertz for anyone traveling out of Napoli. We'll definitely be using them again on our next trip.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In my opinion the young guys that work there are fine. The office is across the road from the train station and the hire cars are back across the road where the buses and paid parking is. Nothing against the office specifically but in my opinion it was quite expensive to hire an automatic car for 24 hours. It cost 150 euro but at least they had some automatic cars available which other rental companies close by did not. Be aware the office is closed between 1pm to 2:30pm everyday so keep this in mind if you’re booking train tickets back to Rome etc.
This is not against Hertz Napoli specifically but I should add it took a very long time (in my opinion) to get our deposit back. We travelled all around Europe and most hotels put additional money on hold on your credit card but then release usually 2 days later but after 7 days Hertz still hadn’t released our deposit. I had to make a couple of phone calls before it was sorted, just something to consider if you’re on a budget.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst car rental experience ever for us. We have booked the delivery of our car at the office at 3pm. No one is at the office. We call all the numbers indicated in the window, but no one responds. We call the central number, they can't help us. After hours of looking for solutions and driving through Napoli by sheer luck we find the Hertz parking near the office (indications are almost not visible). However, there is no key box, no indications, anything. We decide to drive to the airport office, however, without knowing if we can leave the car there as no one answers the phone. We finally manage to leave the car at the airport but have to take a taxi back to our destination.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Car returning is horrible staff are good but there should be signs at least ! I red some reviews regarding this matter and i do agree one of the photos helped and am putting this photo with some others might help , navigating to that parking the best google point i think is “ napoli garibaldi “ once you see the parking sign turn in and then go and take the middle lane where it’s written on the ground BUS i know it is a bus lane but you have to take the middle one you reach the barrier gate press the help button someone will ask you about the car plate number and will open the gate .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Returning the car.. we went to the street location where the shop was. They told us to go across the street to the parking lot. We figured out how to do that. We got to the gate. There was another hertz customer outside his car frustrated because he could not open the gate. He was able to get the parking lot attendant over and what happens is that you need to call someone from the gate and tell the person your sickness olate number. So we were able to do that too. Then you drive back and there are no prominent Hertz return signs. So you drive around and after going back and to the right and facing where you came in you see hertz spots on the left. Then a person came up to us. It was stressful because it was all so mysterious. I’m posting this in case it helps someone else!!! To get a taxi, go into the train station and follow the signs. There are bathrooms in there for 1 euro downstairs that are really clean. Traveling is solving puzzles over and over. This one was in the heat with a luckily very patient 9 year old!
