β β β β β This place was fantastic. The people who worked here were extremely helpful and good at their jobs. I was a little nervous after reading some of these reviews but may have been the best car rental company I have dealt with. Given the location-yes it is busy-but runs smooth.

β β β β β Avoid it. By all means they force you to pay for max insurance. Known trick. They told me that the remaining cars come only in the package with full insurance.
Upon the return we stayed 30 minutes in the queue. While workers were slowest ever.. Total disrespect of customersβ time. Luckily we had some spare time before departure.
Avoid it. No value and doesnβt worse it.

β β β β β Budget is the only car rental counter that had over an hour wait time at the Naples train station. When I finally get to the counter the agent tells me Expedia did not send them the money for my booking and if I want to get the car I need to pay 300 Euros (that's two and a half times the amount I already paid through Expedia). The staff completely don't care, they simply said to deal with Expedia and that it wasn't their problem. They did not even try to help us and were very rude. Never ever book with them. We went to Denise at Sixt car rental next door she helped us obtain a new car rental at a decent price. No wait time and a friendly face helped put our trip back on track!

β β β β β Contrary to many of the experiences listed here mine was 100% spot on with a great experience from start to finish. The gentleman at check in was very friendly, no up sells (though I already had full insurance booked at my web booking), no waiting time, car ready and correct class, and no issues at the return with great staff again being very friendly and hospitable. It is though now November and low season so not very busy, so this might have contributed to more relaxed staff and a better experience for all of us.

β β β β β The process of car rental went smoothly, I checked the car in online and collected it from Budget at Piazza Garibaldi. Didnβt have any issues with the car, however, when collecting it, I was told that Budget is offering a service where, it can be returned with the tank partially full and the company would charge me a maximum of β¬83, the price of fuel would be approx. β¬1.32 plus taxes. I usually return cars once Iβve filled the tank however, on this occasion, I was getting late to check in to my flight and considering what I was told when I picked the car up, I decided to return it when it was 3/8 full (it cost β¬60 to fill the tank).
On returning, the collection representatives, who also collect for Avis and Maggiore looked at the car, turned on the engine and said it would cost me β¬83 as I hadnβt returned the car full. When I challenged them, they reduced the price to β¬69. I obviously wasnβt happy and went to full the car up myself, which cost me β¬25. I thought, going to a well known brand would prevent me being ripped off but I was wrong. They however felt it was appropriate to over charge me almost β¬60. Quite a dishonest and profitable sideline! I wouldnβt use them again (including Avis and Maggiore).

β β β β β Veronica, Ida and Marco were super nice and amazing. She was very patient, took care of us and helped us in everything we needed. We arrived early than expected and she helped us getting our car fast and gave us the best service! Definitely recommend.

β β β β β We rented a car for one week in October 2021. Everything was easy: take the car, drive the car (it was quite new, only 5000 km), drop the car. Very good experience, thank you Maggiore!
Be aware that the office is inside the train station, at floor "-1" (Google Maps location was not perfect in October 2021)

β β β β β LOCATION: the office isnβt located where Google is showing it. Itβs on the -1 floor of the Napoli Centrale train station (see photos). Search for the Budget Car Rental to find the office. In order to get the car, you need to cross the street in fromt of the station and enter the parkong lot on Garibaldi square.
Service: although we booked the car 2 weeks beforehead, the guy didnt find our booking for a while. We didnt get the car we booked. I know, itβs not always possible but I booked that can on purpose because I know it has a comfortable seat but the one we got was awful, I got backpains.
At the return there were some hickups but it has been arranged quite fast.
