Silathai Massage Center

AMAZING! I dont leave reviews often, but the people at Silathai absolutely deserve it. I'm very picky when it comes to (Thai) massages as I've had so many different (Thai) massages over the years, I can't even count them. I'm incredibly skeptical and not easily pleased. BUT this was an simply amazing experience. Friendly skilled people and upfront I told my muscles were super tense and sour because of working out (cycling) over a long period. The advice they gave me was great and they took the time to explain (even though I already knew exactly what I needed). I asked for extra though and that's what I got. The massage therapist new each and every exact spot and in all honesty I can say this was one of the absolute BEST massages I've ever had -if not the best. I can't remember the name of the lady (I visited 29/09/2020 15:45h) (Julia, Lena?) But she was simply amazing. A MUST VISIT WHEN IN FLORENCE. Hygiene right on spot as well. Very good Covid-19 measures.

Great massage, would do it again. Nice person at the reception who speaks several languages.

Best massage in Florence! Been living here for over a year and finally found this place. Will definitely be coming back.

I’m would have loved to book a massage but the guy at the front counter spent the whole day talking to his friends on the phone so I was unable to phone ahead. Tried ten times. Eventually walked to the shop to ask about a booking and was dismissed because they are fully booked. While speaking to me he held the phone to his ear the whole time, and was talking to his friends. Not a great experience.

Made a last minute call for a foot massage and they were able to fit me in. Massage was very good. Would recommend.

If I could leave zero stars I would. Incredibly horrible customer service. The receptionist I spoke with today should honestly be fired. Jaw droppingly rude and inappropriate communication. He literally told me aggressively that he just canceled my massage and I shouldn’t come - simply because I asked to understand why the price he said my massage would be was 15 euros more than what was listed on the website. I legit was just trying to understand! He kept telling me he was canceling it and when I tried to tell him to please not do so, that there was a misunderstanding, he hung up on me! Whole story: The site listed 55 euro for an hour long regular oil massage and 60 euro for the hour long plantar foot reflexology massage. I called to ask if I could do half and half during my hour long massage, and he said the price would be 75 euro total. I then politely asked what the extra 15 euro difference was, since I expected it would just be the price of the higher massage (60 euro total). He then started trying to explaining it but it was honestly pretty jumbled and incoherent, saying the extra cost was because although one massage therapist could do both in the same session, it was because one required clothes on and one didn’t and thus they had to make it 75. I asked another question for him to clarify since it was not clear to me the reason and he started saying “ok you should not come, your massage is now canceled” to which I said “no sir, please do not cancel my massage I want to come” and he said “no it is canceled clearly it is too much money for you” which was incredibly rude and dismissive since it isn’t too much I just didn’t understand the huge jump in cost so I just said to simplify things: “ok, I will simply do the regular oil massage then for 60 euros instead of half and half, please’ and the whole I tried to communicate that he kept speaking over me and laughing at me and saying not to come that it was canceled and I started then to finally get exasperated and asked him to please stop interrrupting me since I could not even finish a sentence and he told me to stop yelling at him ( which is ironic since I wasn’t telling and he was literally laughing at me and retaliating against me for simply trying to understand the extra 15 euro cost, and he was the rude one) he kept just shouting at me no don’t come you no longer have a massage here I then asked if he wouldn’t mind transferring me to speak with a different person, perhaps the owner of the massage parlor, and he refused, saying I was only allowed to talk to him the receptionist. The irony is he’ll probably try to retaliate yet again by responding the this review and painting me as some crazy woman. Save your time and go somewhere else. I felt so upset and saddened by this interaction it basically ruined my day. He did a horrible job in customer service and blatantly discriminated against me simply for asking why the big raise in cost.

Best massage in florence easy, bar none. Had frequent massages all over world and italy as well. Always reliable and quality is high with all the girls. Must reserve in advance. Very strict covid protocol so feel safe. Only bad thing I can possibly say is that at the very end of massage there is a chiropractic like adjustment. You have to relax and not flex. If you have had these and are comfortable with them worry not and do it. If you are unsure, have bad neck etc skip that. It’s only a few seconds, you miss nothing, and I have heard many people over the years who loved the massage but for one reason or another had issues due to the adjustment. Definite not a reason to not go.

Wonderful find in Firenze! We were lucky to score two last minute massages at the Silathai Massage Center from Mauricio. They were absolutely wonderful. A and Jada gave our tired limbs much needed relief after days of walking in the city. This will definitely be on our itinerary when we come back but we’ll book early!
