Rifugio Sasso Nero

Was für eine wunderschöne Hütte. Der Aufstieg von der Stallila Hütte über die Daimer Hütte zur Schwarzensteinhütte ist ein wirklich schöner. Es geht über Felder, Stufen, Geröll, Gletscher und einen Klettersteig. Die Hütte an sich ist der absolute Traum. Sie thront hoch über das Ahrntal und steht da wie ein Wächter. Innen ist sie wunderschön und auch die Schlafplätze sind toll. Die Wirtin ist wirklich nett und preislich absolut ?!

Il tutto si può riassumere in unica parola.. Fantastico! Struttura futuristica, ma inserita benissimo nel paesaggio lunare dei 3030 metri di quota. Camere insonorizzate, materassi e cuscini comodissimi, bagni e docce puliti e in numero idoneo per gli ospiti. Lo staff all'interno è fantastico, tutte donne che coccolano gli escursionisti con un'ottima cucina ed immensa simpatia e disponibilità. Ci tornerò sicuramente, anche perché causa mal tempo non sono riuscito ad arrivare in vetta.

Referring to the new/modern hut. The hike is steep, steady, the glacier crossing is horrible but once you get up you’re there. The welcome is warm by the wonderful staff living and working there. We had a great tour of the new Schwarenstein Hütte and this was a real treat. The place is extremely clean and inviting. Clean bathrooms and shower facilities are located in -1 floor. However for a multi million renovation with initivites from both South Tyrol Italy and Tirol Austria this had allot more potential. For example, the kitchen was the most disappointing aspect; 3 soups on offer and a simple tomatoe pasta all at exaggerated prices. Not an apple strudel or speck in sight which was extremely sad. The lady serving was delightful as were all the staff. The sleeping acomdation was super comfortable and affordable at €60 per head 1/2 board. Continuing; for such a modern infrastructure they missed a key aspect found in every hut throughout Europe; a terrace seating area. None available. This could be because of the very temperamental climate at 3030 metres but a sad thing to have missed out; so much potential. Finally, we went during the weekday which was nice a quiet but on a busy weekend the bar/dining/seating area is, for a new premises very small and when busy I would say could get quite cramped. WiFi was offered and this was great. Overall what really let this new hut down was the food. The staff are great, the hut is clean, smells of the new alpine wood and offers unimaginable views of the zillertal alpine region. A good stride and confidence in hiking is definitely required.
