Bisogna salire per capire la bellezza di questi luoghi....e sapere che a mezz'ora ti ritrovi al mare ...
You have to go up to understand the beauty of these places ... and know that in half an hour you find yourself at the sea ...

Una bellissima domenica di dicembre siamo saliti con amici sulla neve, siamo entrati per un caffè e una grappa, la signorina è stata molto cordiale, il locale era pieno di persone seduti per il pranzo.
One beautiful Sunday in December we went up on the snow with friends, we went in for a coffee and a grappa, the young lady was very friendly, the place was full of people sitting down for lunch.

The landscape is very interesting. You walk past extinct craters and lava flows. You can look at everything in peace and quiet. It is difficult to understand that there is snow here in winter and that you can ski. On the other hand, the individual lifts suggest that there will be more going on here in winter than in summer.

Angelo and Carmen are 2 of the most considerate people I have ever met. I stayed for 2 nights in November and they were incredibly hospitable. I rode the Ferrovia Circumetnea to Linguaglossa’s train station from Catania and Angelo picked me up and drove me to the rifugio. The rifugio is a beautiful space that has sleeping space for 4-7, and 2 bathrooms (1 shower, 1 sauna!!!) Brand new appliances and tasteful interior decoration. I was so sad to leave!!! I will one hundred percent go back and stay here.

Her Majesty Etna. That's what I knew in advance: that Etna is Europe's highest active volcano, that it is still very dangerous, that it has overflowed Catania more times - the second largest city in Sicily, that it is the world's most monitored volcano because of its danger for local people, that she presented the last big eruption in 1998 ... but I had no idea she was so beautiful !! So monumental, so proud, so virgin and invincible. So inaccessible, strong and merciless. And that there is such peace in her vicinity. There are a few Budbhist retreats and, despite the dangers to the top, they are refugias for hikers. If I have no my farm in Czech - I would stay here. This time I had a lot of effort to present on my pictures the main thing - the peace, the tranquility, the atmosphere, the eternity, the beauty, the hope. Etna is for me the portal of time to a time when there was no human on this planet. Or for the future in which it will not exist. All around is dry. Etna is 3300 meters high and has had a white snow cap for thousands of years. Not today. Dozens of the Apulia and Calabria rivers I pass through are dry - there are only a stones in the river basins full of depression and fear of the future. There is no drop of water here on Etna. Where the hell are all the clouds that evaporate from the sea every single day? Which is right below us? Who came to us for water? All the more fascinating is the observation of life on the magma and lava, which ruthlessly destroys everything. And here is the most beautiful form of life on the black dry lava - the flowers. Today I will sleep here. With her. And meditate that if everything on this earth perishes, so let it rescue and revitalize the flowers. Scientist called it “rudellar sucsese”. An endless stream of life through space I call it
