Decidiamo di seguire la pista dei "Bus" che traghettano i turisti verso i crateri sommitali dell'Etna. Non l'abbiamo mai fatta (a piedi) io e il mio amico Pippo e siamo curiosi di provarla. Partiamo da quota 1791 m slm (Piano Provenzana, ingresso pista Bus) e dopo 10 Km di tragitto siamo a quota 2918 all'Osservatorio Geofisico Etneo. Con oltre 1.100 m di dislivello. Non siamo ragazzini e impieghiamo 4h 20'. Per via della carenza di ossigeno dovuta all'altezza, nell'ultimo tratto, rallentiamo per riprendere, più volte, fiato. Ci sentiamo, io e il mio amico, come ubriachi ma tuttosommato lucidi e coscienti. Quando arriviamo siamo ultrafelici e per un po' ci acclimatiamo, prima di salire a Pizzi Deneri. Il panorama da lassù è indescrivibile, da qualsiasi lato si guardi, bisogna provarlo. Le mie immagini sono del 25 Agosto 2017. There are emotions that can be experienced, but impossible to describe! We decide to follow the "Bus" track that ferries tourists to the summit craters of Etna. My friend Pippo and I never did it (on foot) and we are curious to try it. We start at an altitude of 1791 m asl (Piano Provenzana, entrance to the Bus track) and after a 10 km journey we are at an altitude of 2918 at the Etneo Geophysical Observatory. With over 1,100 m in altitude. We are not kids and it takes 4h 20 '. Due to the lack of oxygen due to the height, in the last stretch, we slow down to catch our breath several times. We feel, my friend and I, as drunk but fully polished and conscious. When we arrive we are ultra happy and for a while we acclimatise, before going up to Pizzi Deneri. The view from up there is indescribable, from whichever side you look, you have to try it. My images are from 25 August 2017.

Etna is really fantastic! For those wishing to live a truly unique experience, I recommend going up there in e-mtb ... you won't regret it!
