A	Alex M on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bel rifugio, facilmente raggiungibile partendo dal sentiero vicino al rifugio Ariel (lato Nicolosi) in poco più di 1 ora, dipende dal vostro passo. Proseguendo per altri 20 minuti circa si può visitare anche il piccolo rifugio Poggio la caccia, ai piedi di monte Palestro. Ci vado spesso per respirare un po' di aria pulita e godere del panorama! Nice refuge, easily accessible starting from the path near the Ariel refuge (Nicolosi side) in just over 1 hour, it depends on your pace. Continuing for another 20 minutes, you can also visit the small refuge Poggio la Caccia, at the foot of Monte Palestro. I often go there to breathe some clean air and enjoy the view!

Caratterizzato da uma serie di conetti secondari tipo Hornitos posti a sud del bivacco, gode di una splendida posizione a ponente con magnifica vista sulla parte ovest delle aree sommitali del vulcano e sulla valle del Simeto, dei m9nti Nebrodi fino alle Madonie. Imperdibile il tramonto Place of the Heart that of the Galvarina plateau. Characterized by a series of secondary Hornitos-type cones located south of the bivouac, it enjoys a splendid position to the west with a magnificent view of the western part of the summit areas of the volcano and the Simeto valley, from the Nebrodi mountains to the Madonie. D	Dino Greco on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il rifugio Galvarina è un rifugio gestito dalla forestale, immerso nel parco dell'Etna e distante circa 2 ore e mezzo di cammino a piedi da dove si lascia l'auto. Il sentiero è piuttosto fattibile e adatto anche a famiglie con bambini. Il rifugio è sempre aperto, non dispone di acqua corrente ed elettricità, ma solo di una cisterna con acqua non potabile e un camino. Ci sono anche delle panche in cemento e un grande tavolo in legno. È possibile pernottare nelle calde sere d'estate, ma vista l'altitudine (quasi duemila metri) è comunque consigliabile portare un sacco a pelo. The Galvarina refuge is a refuge managed by the forestry, immersed in the Etna park and about a 2 and a half hour walk from where you leave the car. The trail is quite doable and also suitable for families with children. The refuge is always open, it does not have running water and electricity, but only a cistern with non-drinking water and a fireplace. There are also concrete benches and a large wooden table. It is possible to stay overnight on hot summer evenings, but given the altitude (almost two thousand meters) it is still advisable to bring a sleeping bag.

All’esterno, è presente una postazione barbecue. All’interno un camino. Alle spalle del rifugio generalmente è possibile trovare della legna da poter utilizzare per il camino e/o il barbecue.
